Welcomed Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu - בנימין נתניהו for his first visit to Singapore today. We had met last April in Israel (bit.ly/2llS7FA), so I was happy to reciprocate his warm hospitality.

Singapore and Israel are old friends. When we became independent, the IDF helped us build and train the SAF. Today, our ties extend to investments, technology and R&D. Our universities and research institutes have exchanges and joint research projects, and we are planning further collaboration with each other.

PM Netanyahu updated me on developments in the Middle East. Singapore supports a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian problem. It is the only way to bring lasting peace and security, difficult though this may be to achieve.

If hosting an international sporting event is more important than standing up for our palestinian brothers and sisters who get mudered, maimed and tortured by the Netanyahu regime, that means Malaysia has truly loss its moral compass.

We would like to kindly remind the IPC that even Amnesty International and Human Rights watch have reported that the Netanyahu government is an active perpetrator of war crimes.

As the leader of Israel, he represents the collective will of the Israeli government. The Israeli state is the locus of their collective moral actions.

Malaysia stands firm with our decision on the ground of humanity and compassion for the Palestinian plight. We will not compromise.

So the Jews were told they could share this land, knowing how they went through the Holocaust the British made a one sided deal that gave the Jews what we know today as Israel, but displacing the Palestinians in their own land. It's like helping one person on another person's expense. Fact of the matter is, the Palestinians didn't need the Israelis. They came to Palestine with nothing but whatever was left, they were refugees... now they pretend they are the most advanced, most civilized. Let me remind you, Palestine is made up of different religion, race and culture. Like a lot of countries, they were multiracial. This is about Palestinian rights as citizens of the land, they are now treated as refugees and are oppressed and killed in their own land. Why are we so afraid of Israel? Know their history, and see them for what they are! @stateofisrael
