Hi friends! I am finally done with my Invisalign treatment!1!!1one!!1!! Have received plenty of questions about this… Firstly, for the benefit of those in doubt, Invisalign is basically invisible braces that comes in the form of plastic instead of metal.

Before becoming a full-time DJ, I struggled a long time with the idea of Invisalign or normal braces. I knew for sure I wanted to have straight teeth, because it would help me a lot in terms of speech, my career, and my appearance by giving me a confident smile. Trust me, the Hazy two years ago was constantly weary of laughing out loud because I was too embarrassed to show the world my protruding canine tooth (and my overcrowded row of teeth at the bottom). Swipe left to see! Thankfully the bottom row is quite well hidden.

But at the same time, Invisalign is a very costly alternative to normal braces. For the latter, it is about $4k. However, I chose to go for the former and paid about $9k for the entire treatment… just for its transparency. Literally. I worked while I studied to pay off the cost. And two years later I am finally done with the treatment, and am happy to say that I think I’ve made a good choice!

The good thing about Invisalign is that during the course of my treatment, I can remove the aligners as and when I need to, for example when I’m on air. But honestly, I can speak perfectly fine with them on as well. What I love most about it is, yet again, how transparent it is. I can go ahead and take photos or go on FB live programmes without anyone noticing I have them on. That is very important to me, in my opinion, as a personality. Of course, there is nothing wrong with metal braces, but I tend to be a little bit of a vain pot hahaha.

However, if you’re looking to straighten your teeth and the appearance during the process is not of utmost concern to you, I do suggest the normal braces! Ultimately you get to save a few thousand bucks. But if you’re insistent on the transparency like I am, and still have some questions, do leave a comment below!

I met with their staff for an initial consultation on my situation, to get my dental impression, and my case was then passed to their professional team of dentists to design a suitable treatment for me (3D simulation was sent to me 1-2 weeks after the first consultation!)

隱形牙套在臺灣價格昂貴，尤其是隱適美。美國的隱適美價格範圍約在台幣10萬5千到24萬（美金3500~8000），台灣的隱適美價格約台幣20萬到30萬，幾乎是美國的兩倍貴，不過臺灣隱適美案例比美國困難，每個病人的牙套數目幾乎都是美國的2~3倍以上。隱形牙套的性價比夠不夠支撐這麼高的價位？隱形牙套的缺點和侷限在哪裡？
其實隱形牙套這幾年的進步突飛猛進，包括材質的進步、附連體attachments的設計等等。2015年隱適美第六代已經針對亞洲人需要改善暴牙、嘴凸輪廓外觀而占矯正大宗的拔小臼齒案例作突破性的研發改良，但還是有一些牙齒整齊的骨性暴牙狀況，完全要用隱形牙套完成非常困難。影片中將會介紹三種狀況，是可考慮搭配隱形牙套與傳統牙套，也許更能克服隱形牙套的侷限性，也就是隱形牙套的缺點在很難移動牙根（強項在移動牙冠）、且對單根、牙根是圓的牙齒抓握力較差，且很難讓牙齒做挺出的移動（強項是做牙齒的壓入移動）。

影片中會提醒幾點戴隱形牙套需要注意的事項，最重要的就是病人的配合度compliance，要一天戴滿隱形牙套20~22小時，這點事關隱形矯正的成敗，非常重要。這也是隱形牙套和傳統牙套很大的差異之一，傳統牙套因矯正器是黏在牙齒上，病人無法摘下，故為”強迫病人配合”（forced compliance），但隱形牙套需要病人高度自主的配合戴牙套，矯正效果才會好。

影片後半段亦會簡單比較臺灣較常見的隱形牙套廠牌：隱適美Invisalign、宜可麗eClinger、舒服美sov的不同。不同廠牌的隱形牙套不至於影響矯正的結果，但因數據庫的累積、演算造成軟體模擬的精準度稍不同，且隱形牙套的材質硬度、彈性、透明度、覆蓋牙齒或牙齦範圍的不同，需不需要黏樹脂痘痘的附連體幫助牙齒移動等等各廠牌的差異性，會一定程度影響矯正時間與矯正期間的舒適度和美觀程度。

Dr Ryan Raj is such a professional Orthodontist, I had a really pleasant time visiting him for my Invisalign treatments ? He’s very friendly and patient, just ask him for clarification if you have any doubts and he’ll immediately tend to your needs.

It’s a relief that I can eat anything that I want.

? BEFORE EATING
When I want to eat, just remove and rinse off the aligners. It’s very convenient as well as I can pop the aligners in the container.

? AFTER EATING
After eating, I’ll just rinse my mouth and put the aligners back on.

How much does my Invisalign treatment cost?

Hospital wishes to keep the price confidential due to restrictions from policies to publicly state the price.

However, I noticed that there are a few of you who are interested to know about the cost of my Invisalign treatment. And I don’t want to miss out replying anyone individually ? Therefore I have been given permission to share because of this.

All the planning and manufacturing of the Invisalign aligners are from overseas, the average cost of Invisalign in the US is USD 6000 and this may be subjected to change.

There are simple , moderate and comprehensive Invisalign packages. Dr Ryan’s standard of care is quite high and he has given me the comprehensive package as he believes this package is best suited in giving me a great smile.

The comprehensive package includes : unlimited aligners for the next 5 years to ensure that my teeth are moving properly.
Therefore the cost of my own individual treatment is RM20,000.
