AIT很榮幸與教育部、文化部及其他共同支持閱讀、STEAM及雙語教育的合作夥伴們，一起參加「臺灣閱讀節」，該活動於2020年榮獲美國圖書館協會（ALA）「國際圖書館創新服務獎」，其創新性及永續性可作為國際間圖書館的典範。

上週六AIT文化官馬明遠先生不但與超過150個合作單位一起出席了在中正紀念堂的開幕活動，並且在行動美國資料中心的創新書車進行故事分享會，導讀蘇斯博士（Dr. Seuss）的經典作品「格林奇如何偷走聖誕節！」此外，為呼應「用閱讀繽紛你的小宇宙」主題，AIT特別設立了具有故事情節的體驗式攤位，運用Microbit和Makey Makey辦理「聖誕車挑戰賽」和「一起唱聖誕歌」攤位活動，感謝超過眾多閱讀愛好者共同參與，和我們一起預先慶祝聖誕節。下一次美國資訊中心活動見囉！

Have you ever read “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss? AIT was honored to team up with Minister of Education, Minister of Cultural Affairs and other partners who support reading, STEAM, and bilingual education to participate in the “2020 Taiwan Reading Festival,” recognized as the most Innovative Library Project by the American Library Association (ALA) in 2020.

Last weekend, at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Cultural Affairs Officer Luke Martin attended the opening ceremony and hosted a storytelling session at AIT Mobile American Center to share a classic American story: “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” by Dr. Seuss. With the theme “Igniting the Public’s Passion for Reading”, AIT also set up several experiential and interactive science experiment booths using Microbit and Makey Makey to introduce “Christmas Car Challenge” and “Singing Christmas Song together.” Thanks for everyone for joining with us at Taiwan Reading Festival!
