IT WAS DASH'S DASH&SPLASH 3RD PARTY YESTERDAY!!! It was held at Downtown East and we had so much fun!! Dash was amazingly well behaved and was in a good mood the whole time! 😄 We had the party at indoor playground eXplorerKid and then at Wild Wild Wet itself.

The list of people to thank is really long so please bear with me!

- @DowntownEast for sponsoring the venue and handling everything from food, activities, emceeing, printing directions and banners for my guests! I didn't have to do anything but invite guests!

- Crew at @clicknetwork for tirelessly documenting everything into a smashing GTL episode. * @stitchXmarker for the AMAZING decor. Can you freaking believe that all the little sea creatures + banner are painted BY HAND and everything else was also created by hand with recycled materials? Cannot deal!

- @Crememaisonbakery for the super pretty cake and pastries which all tasted crazy delicious omg. I will post more pics! * All of my friends and family who came down for the party!! My dear Jai, now that you are gone, I can finally write this.
Thank you for looking after me for nearly 6 years. When I was working crazy hours, you were there to reheat food and soup for me. When I was sick, you got medicine and water for me. When I was single and lonely, we were baking all sorts of bread together just to kill time. When my pants needed sewing up, you always did it for me with my super short notice. I’m sorry for the times I was impatient when you nagged me to eat my food while it was hot. I know it was because you cared 😂
I will always remember how happy and appreciative you were when I bought you a birthday gift crying with tears of joy. I will always remember your positive attitude to life even though you had all sorts of negative things happening back home, how you always smile and say the loudest good morning to me. I will always remember how you hugged me every time after I had been away for work for a long time or when you were away and returning to Hong Kong. I will always remember how much you love to eat and how happy you were when you ate your favorite ice cream and dessert. I will always remember how well you cook and how much effort you put into presenting your food for me. I will always remember how you bake the best banana bread. I will always remember how you remember the brands of my clothes and shoes and where you put them away and try to pronounce them in your own funny way.
I will also remember how happy for me you were when I told you I had found someone, and when you started crying when I told you I was going to get married. Last few days you started crying again when u told me how much you were going to miss me and how I stopped you in time because I knew if you cried I would start crying too. I must admit I’m crying while I’m writing this 😢
But I am so happy for you that you can finally be with your daughters, your father and your husband. I wish you all the best and good health, I hope you can come back and visit us soon, otherwise I will go to Philippines to visit you.

What a year and what a way to end it.

I was really scared.

Rehearsing everyday and there were tons of unexpected things which we had to deal with and we couldn’t be sure until the last minute of the show.

I was even waking up several times and dreaming about the show the night before. Lol

I’m so glad that we were able to make this project happen and a reality to close off this year.

I just didn’t want 2020 to end up to be like a year that I couldn’t achieve anything or that we had to give up on doing lots of stuff because of the pandemic. Wanted to find something that we could do because of this situation instead.

And I always want to have that type of perspective, cuz I believe that’s the way we can find light for the future.

In any situation we can keep challenging, and as long as we keep trying, we will never lose hope.

We won’t lose to Covid-19.

And also even if it’s a small step forward, we will continue to pave a way for a more brighter and sustainable future.

I understand that issues like climate change, refugee crisis, discrimination which were part of the theme of this show, won’t be resolved over night. But as long as we keep screaming, even if it’s a tiny voice, it can have an important impact eventually. I’m also convinced that we artists can take on that role through our world and performances.

I am very very thankful to all the Japanese and American staff who worked tirelessly, being stuck in the studio throughout the holidays. I’m very proud of the work we have achieved all together especially at an end of this crazy year.

And thank you so much to everyone who watched the show! Even in these turbulent times, we are all under the same sky in the same generation. I’m happy and privileged to be able to share and live together with you all.

SUMMER IS HERE!!! ahhh i love summer ?
First off, I know I'm super bloated in this video ?? My mom and younger sister were visiting so we had a "family" hotpot night yesterday ? It was yummy tho, I cut up some sausage octopus ?

Second of all...do you notice anything different? This is my first video in my new apartment! ? Looking at my old empty apartment before I left, I was reminded of when I first moved to LA and realized how much I've grown. It's always a bittersweet feeling to realize how much you've changed (usually because growth comes from overcoming tough situations ack), but change is good! I always like to say no good comes from staying comfortable. It keeps you stagnant and running in one place. So even though I will maybe miss my old apartment, I'm happy to be in a new place and mindset. I hope you've all changed (for the better) over the past year too ? Now, on to summer vacay!
