Extremist terrorism is a serious, long-term problem. Met community and religious leaders this morning to discuss the ISIS threat. We updated them on what has been happening, and they shared their views on what all of us can do to protect ourselves.

Grateful to the Mufti and Malay/Muslim groups who have worked hard to counter ISIS propaganda. The Religious Rehabilitation Group (RRG) has produced a brochure (http://on.fb.me/1CqZtwL) and online videos to point out the fallacies of the ISIS Islamic Caliphate, and explain why their brutal methods are against Islam.

Glad that others – the Singapore Buddhist Lodge, Taoist Federation of Singapore and the Bright Hill Temple – have also contributed towards helping Syrian refugees.

It will be tough to eradicate terrorism. But we will keep Singapore safe, if we work closely together. – LHL

Hey Everyone! Here are my top must-do's at Lake District. I was there for the last 5 days and it is absolutely beautiful.

Transport:
We took Virgins Train from London Euston Station to Penrith for our Lake District adventure. We then rented a car from Enterprise Cars to drive around as our transport.

Route
From Penrith, we drove to Keswick, which is the town on top of Derwent Water, one of the northern lakes of the Lake District. We stayed 2 nights and then we drove to Ambleside which is on top of Lake Windemere for another 2 nights.

Bed & Breakfast
We stayed at the Avondale at Keswick (I highly recommend this place and it's award winning!) and Easedale Lodge for Ambleside.

It was our first time going to Sunshine Coast!
We went to Farm Ventures for horseback riding and seeing cute farm animals.
Had an amazing lunch at Smoke On The Water. We sit at their ocean view seats and ate their tasty smoky ribs, it was a lovely afternoon.
We stayed at Bonnie Brook Lodge and had a wonderful dinner at the downstairs​ restaurant (The Chesters). Their service and cuisines were the best. We had never been to such a good restaurant before!
In the next day, we went to Soames Hill for an hour short hike with an amazing view. We also celebrated BC Da​y at Gibson's Persephone Brewing Company.
