荷蘭軟實力全球第9 臺灣首次登榜亞洲第5
The Netherlands Ranked 9th on the "Soft Power 30"
2018年軟實力調查報告「軟實力30強」結果出爐，荷蘭被評選為世界第9。除了在文化上的亮點，荷蘭進步的國家政策、舉世聞名的教育制度，以及對國際法的重要貢獻，也大幅提升軟實力。面對氣候變遷的挑戰，荷蘭更是透過離岸風力發電以及水資源管理基礎設施展現決心，在全球具有領導地位。
儘管國土面積不大，荷蘭卻擁有為數眾多的世界頂尖大學，全國13所大學在《QS世界大學排名》中全部榜上有名，僅次於英國、美國與德國，位居第4。
而在追求一個平等和寬容的社會方面，荷蘭也為其他國家樹立榜樣。在世界經濟論壇《全球性別不平等報告》中，荷蘭是前五名中唯一不是斯堪地那維亞的國家；荷蘭持續在健康、教育、政治和經濟等領域，持續努力消弭性別差異，仍然是實現性別平等的先驅。
另外，得力於企業與政府的亮眼表現，臺灣今年也榜上有名，被評選為亞洲第5名。
The latest result of “The Soft Power 30” lists the Netherlands as the ninth best country in the world. Beyond its cultural highlights, the Netherlands has strengthened its soft power with progressive policies, a world-renowned education system, and significant contributions to international law. The Netherlands is also a leader in combating climate change through off-shore wind-farms and water management infrastructure.
Despite its relatively small size, the Netherlands has the fourth most top-ranking universities after the US, UK, and Germany, with 13 universities in the QS Global University Rankings.
The Netherlands sets an example for other countries to follow when it comes to building an equal and tolerant society. Being the only non-Scandinavian country in the top 5 of the World Economic Forum’s Gender Gap report, the Netherlands is still a forerunner in achieving gender equality through its continuous efforts in reducing the gender gap across health, education, politics, and economy.
And Taiwan is on the list this year. Owing to the outstanding performance in the Enterprise and Government sub-indices, Taiwan is ranked the fifth best performer in Asia.
