ในเกมนี้ผู้เล่นจะได้ต่อสู้กับเหล่าทวยเทพ ปราบสัตว์ร้ายในตำนาน และเก็บทรัพยากรต่างๆ ไปพร้อมกับเดินทางไปยังสถานที่อันตราย และพยายามที่จะกอบกู้โลกนี้

ซึ่งทางผู้พัฒนากล่าวว่า Achilles: Legends Untold จะมีส่วนผสมของความเป็นเกมสไตล์ Souls ลงไปเล็กน้อย ไปพร้อมกับการสร้างเกมที่ ง่ายต่อการเรียนรู้ แต่ยากที่จะเชี่ยวชาญ นั่นทำให้เกมนี้จะสามารถเล่นสนุกได้ ทั้งคนที่เซียนเกม Souls มาก่อน และผู้เล่นหน้าใหม่
