Hi North America,

We are Sunset Rollercoaster, an indie band comprised of a bunch of not-that-handsome boys from a subtropical island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean called Taiwan.

Besides our not-that-handsome and nerdy-looking faces, we play some happy, sweet, mellow songs, like My Jinji; it’s kinda sweet, like Manuka honey from New Zealand. It’s not just a regular honey, and it’s also really healthy. If you don’t know the song or Manuka honey, that's totally OK, not a big deal, we’ll have a link down below for you to check out.

Some people would say Sunset Rollercoaster is the most romantic band in Asia, but we would say we are just a little lazy and a bit funny so we've reached a sweet spot which sometimes people recognize as romantic, but why? We don’t really know, we just go with the flow most of the time. Like the weather in Taiwan, if it’s too hot in the morning, then we will have some afternoon rain, plus some thunder, and a chill breeze will come after sunset. We also have loads of scooters here, which make a ton of noise during the night, but sometimes it’s like an urban symphony, if you know how to listen to it.

Anyway, we are coming to North America in a couple of weeks, hope you guys can come check us out, we could be friends and maybe drink some beers together. We will have more silly and funny stories to tell when we are drunk enough.

✎ 尋找志同道合的夥伴 Find Like-minded Partners!

Thumbelina
In the first English translation of 1847 by Mary Howitt, the tale opens with a beggar woman giving a peasant's wife a barleycorn in exchange for food. After the barleycorn is planted and sprouts, a tiny girl, Thumbelina (Tommelise), emerges from its flower. One night, Thumbelina, asleep in her walnut-shell cradle, is carried off by a toad who wants her as a bride for her son. With the help of friendly fish and a butterfly, Thumbelina escapes the toad and her son, and drifts on a lily pad until captured by a stag beetle who later discards her when his friends reject her company.

How on EARTH is this racist? Nobody is mocking all Malays, or all Malaysians. The subject here is only one nasty person. So I’m also racist against chinese because I did a Sun Ho makeup tutorial? Don’t be childish please. Singapore is half filled with Malays and Malaysians, many of them are my friends and I do not have a problem with either.
