Africa’s wildlife rangers protect some of the world’s most vulnerable species, like elephants, pangolins, rhinos, and lions. However, with no tourism dollars coming into the protected areas where they work, many rangers are patrolling larger areas with fewer resources, leaving wildlife at risk.
Tomorrow, on October 3, more than 1,000 rangers from across Africa are coming together to run the Wildlife Ranger Challenge with the goal of raising money to get their fellow rangers back out into the field, protecting the wildlife they have dedicated their lives to.

I found some runner secrets
Running gives us a concrete goal. There is a clear indicator and the change that happens. We can feel it by ourselves because it's the change of our body. Running makes us practice. That makes us mean every day. We know that if you want to run. Better than before. We have to practice harder and more accurate. Waking up to practice everyday will lead to big meaning on competition day.
When life is meaningful, we will feel that we are worthy of ourselves like this. Then we blame other people or less interested in self-development than we can't deny that there are a number of people to make themselves feel good. Press others to feel low to feel that Higher self. While those who feel good about themselves don't often do so. He just think how to bring themselves higher. They want to bring others to uplift together. Self-esteem is important when it's full in ourselves. We will. I don't want to find outside wealth. I don't feel like I have to do this so that others can't look hungry. We know that we know that we are okay, strong and stable. All of these can be "freedom"
Have big goals, practice continuously. Make every day meaningful. Be proud of yourself. Don't seek to cover, don't thirst. Accepting from others. Confident in the mind. Confident in our own
...
What makes me see this summary is the speech of "Eliudkipshoke" - one of the world's best marathon runners of this era, which is given to students at cuddle Ox University. Ford in Oxford Union
Kipshoke talks about the key elements of success.
One, self discipline.
Two, great preparation
Three, great deal
Four, positive thoughts
Five, working with others.
Six, consistency
Seven, accept the change
Eight, self-faith
The best runner of Kenya slowly explains that self-discipline is to check yourself all the time. Choose to do what you want to do more than what we want to do. Discipline makes us go to practice without losing our own feelings. Not only running, but us. I will practice conscious habits. Choose the right thing for long term results than choose to do whatever you want for your own happiness.
The way to discipline is to see the priorities of what you will always do. Follow the schedule. Learn to reject the insignificant or stay off the schedule. Practice and most importantly, self-discipline is not just what happens and disappear if it's a lifestyle similar. Build a muscle that can't be done within two days if it takes to live consistency until the muscles become part of us and eventually become the same flesh with life.
...
Kipshoke emphasizes, "Remember that only the disciplined will be free He expands," If you don't have discipline, you will be a slave to emotions, you will be a slave to passion. That's suffering He still. Quote the word "The best day to plant a tree was twenty-five years ago, but the good day is today" and told students at Oxford to plant trees of discipline today.
Another great thing that runners emphasize is consistency. We always start doing something when we feel motivated within ourselves. But if you want to do that, we need discipline to continue on the day we feel like to don't want to do what makes us grow is discipline. That's when there is motivation and discipline, we become consistent and become experts in it. Finally, nobody can reach that point without consistency.
Kipchoke says the secret to running well based on self-confidence. This confidence is caused by training with discipline. His mind tells himself that he has to run this hard. Of course. So I run free, carefree.
Even the best runner suggests eight success elements. But when I hear all of them, I conclude that the most important element of success is "discipline" because if there is the rest will follow, he values training as much. Answer the question of students, "If I miss to break the world record, I don't regret it. If I miss the Olympic Gold Medal, I will regret it when I will regret it when I don't have no discipline in rehearsal" because I know that only consistent rehearsal will If we do our best, even if we lose to someone, it's not sad.
...
I thought about his words that said " Practice hard, live a simple life and you will be free
To the end, the important foundation of a simple life is to practice what you love hard to do better everyday. Then we will have a simple life automatically, and be free from the ruler that others always apply because we know what we are doing for and Proud of that progress
It's strange that running has made me discover new value in life. That's the value of self-discipline without anyone forcing me slowly moving towards that by changing in myself. When doing it is continuously and discipline. I found that discipline. Running a lot of things in life. When running with discipline, I start sleeping with discipline. Wake up with discipline, eating healthy food, have a disciplined work schedule and I start to resist myself not doing what I want. Do but don't affect long term and start pushing yourself to do what you should do, which will be better in the long term.
Discovery is shocking. Discipline is not the cage as I always thought if it becomes the key to a life that is free from the bondage that the world tries to lead us to be lost in those siege when Control ourselves. We have more freedom from temptations and happiness in the circle that will bring us to our intended destination.
The world is so simple.

Michael Jordan's coach pleaded with him to go back in the game, and the opposing coach made sure Jordan had the chance to end his career with a basket.
Jordan's last shot was a free throw, and like his final appearance in an NBA uniform, it was good.
One of the greatest players in NBA history played the final game of his illustrious career Wednesday night, not in the setting that he would have preferred but in a special atmosphere nonetheless. Jordan's final moment on the court ended with him receiving applause and a lengthy standing ovation from nearly everyone in the arena -- including the coaches and the other players.
He soaked it all up with a wide smile and a wave to the crowd after exiting for good with 1:44 remaining in the fourth quarter of a 107-87 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
``Now I guess it hits me that I'm not going to be in a uniform anymore -- and that's not a terrible feeling,'' Jordan said afterward. ``It's something that I've come to grips with, and it's time. This is the final retirement.''
Jordan finished with 15 points, four rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes -- drawing several adoring ovations from the last sellout crowd that will ever watch him play.
``The Philly people did a great job. They gave me the biggest inspiration, in a sense,'' Jordan said. ``Obviously, they wanted to see me make a couple of baskets and then come off. That was very, very respectful, and I had a good time.''
Jordan's final points almost looked scripted, with Eric Snow of the 76ers fouling him in the backcourt for no apparent reason except to send him to the line.
``Coach (Larry Brown) told me to foul him, get him to the line to get some points and get him out of there,'' Snow said.
Both foul shots went in, and the Wizards committed a foul one second later so that Jordan could be removed from the game and receive the proper send-off. In a rare scene, the 10 players who remained on the court turned to Jordan and applauded, too.
The 40-year-old Jordan would have preferred to end his career in the playoffs, but the Wizards never clicked during his two years in Washington and finished 37-45 in both seasons.
But that was merely a footnote on this stirring night, the last time the basketball public was treated to one of the greatest athletes in history playing the game one last time.
Jordan finished his career with 32,292 points -- the third-highest total in league history, behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone. His final career average of 30.12 goes down as the best in NBA history, just ahead of Wilt Chamberlain's 30.07.
``I never, never took the game for granted. I was very true to the game, and the game was very true to me. It was just that simple,'' Jordan said.
With the Sixers ahead by 21 points with 9 1/2 minutes remaining, the crowd began chanting ``We want Mike.'' The chant grew louder as the period progressed with Jordan remaining seated, and fans ignored the game to stand and stare at the Wizards' bench, wondering why Jordan wasn't playing.
This being Philadelphia, they eventually booed.
Jordan finally pulled his warmups off and re-entered the game with 2:35 left for his brief final appearance.
``I played here. I told him I at least have to be able to come back (to Philadelphia),'' Wizards coach Doug Collins said. ``I told him to go back in for a minute. He said, 'I'm stiff.' I said, 'Please. They want to see you.' He said, 'Larry Hughes is going to foul out soon, so put me in then.'''
Earlier in the game, Jordan showed his age.
There was a play in the first quarter when he looked like the Jordan of old, except for the result. Starting near the foul line, Jordan ducked his shoulder, lowered his head, stuck out his tongue and drove to his right, the ball rolling off his fingers ever so softly as it arched toward the net.
Rather than going in, though, the ball hit the front rim and missed -- one of several of his shots that came up a few inches short.
One of the exceptions was Jordan's final shot of the first half -- a one-handed dunk that came after he received a nice pass under the basket from Bobby Simmons.
Jordan hit his first two shots of the third quarter but didn't do much else positive in the period. On an alley-oop pass from Tyronn Lue, the ball hit him in the fingertips and bounced harmlessly away. A lazy crosscourt pass was picked off by Aaron McKie, leading to one of Philadelphia's 31 fast-break points. Jordan's final field-goal attempt was a missed layup with 8:13 remaining.
``I'm not embarrassed,'' Jordan said, ``but it's just not ... I've had better feelings in terms of playing a competitive game.''
The standing ovation that Jordan received lasted about three minutes, with Jordan smiling, nodding and chewing gum throughout. The group Boyz II Men sang ``It's So Hard To Say Goodbye'' between the first and second quarters as a montage of Jordan's career highlights was shown on the scoreboard.

Not one to stay stuck in the moment, Taj Gibson insisted he'll let this one go no matter how tempting it might be to hold onto it.
The rookie tied a career high with 20 points and had 13 rebounds, and the Chicago Bulls used a big first-half run to beat the Philadelphia 76ers 122-90 on Saturday night for their fourth straight victory.
"You're only as good as your last game," Gibson said.
And this one was quite impressive. He hit 9 of 14 shots and fed off newcomer Hakim Warrick in another eye-opening performance from a rookie whose emergence made the departed Tyrus Thomas expendable.
"He's such a good kid," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "He is very coachable. He wants to learn and is always working. I like some of the passes that he and Hakim made to each other. They worked well against the zone."
And they had plenty of help.
Derrick Rose scored 17 points to help the Bulls set a season high for points. So did Kirk Hinrich, who also buried three 3-pointers to give him 773 in his career and break a tie with Ben Gordon for the club record.
Warrick had a highlight reel dunk over Thaddeus Young that "got me going" and finished with 15 points. Brad Miller scored eight of his 15 during a 23-1 run to close the second half, turning a three-point deficit into a 58-39 lead and sending Chicago to his sixth win in seven games. The Bulls set a team record for fewest turnovers with four while dishing out 26 assists.
"They were finding the open man, just making the right plays," the Sixers' Allen Iverson said.
Andre Iguodala led Philadelphia with 23 points. Young scored 17 points, but the Sixers went 8:14 without a field goal during a drought that spanned the second and third quarters in their most lopsided loss this season while falling for the third time in four games.
"We couldn't hit shots and we couldn't get stops," Iguodala said.
They were leading 38-35 after Iguodala hit two free throws with 5:19 left in the first half.
And then?
Miller put back his own miss and led the charge as the Bulls scored 21 straight before Young hit 1 of 2 free throws with 35 seconds left. Miller added a layup, hit 2 of 3 free throws after getting fouled on a 3 and buried two more foul shots.
And after Young's free throw, Rose drove for a layup in closing seconds to make it a 19-point game at halftime, and he started the third with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer. Hinrich then hit one of his own to make it 64-39 and give him 701 in his career, putting him ahead of Gordon.
"I don't feel like I shoot a lot of 3s," Hinrich said. "I just take them when it's available."
Iverson finally hit a fadeaway jumper for the Sixers' first field goal since Rodney Carney's put-back with 6:59 left in the first half, but the Bulls continued to pour it on for their second straight lopsided home win.
They beat the Knicks by 33 on Tuesday and followed up wins at New York and Minnesota with another impressive showing against a struggling Sixers team. With the next two games against Washington and Indiana, Chicago has a chance to keep the streak going.
It would help if they had an effective Joakim Noah.
He entered to loud cheers with 3:33 left in the first quarter and finished with a point and two rebounds in 7 minutes after missing seven games with plantar fasciitis in his left foot. That Noah was in uniform was a surprise considering Del Negro had said he probably wouldn't play.
Warrick, in his first home game since the trade deadline deal with Milwaukee, whipped the crowd into a frenzy late in the opening quarter, when he pivoted and threw down a one-handed facial over Young. The groans were just as loud moments later when Noah missed a dunk even though he was all alone, and he heard it from his teammates.
Otherwise, he felt fine.
"I really feel no pain, and I feel really good that we're playing such good basketball right now," he said.
Game notes
The Bulls' previous low for turnovers was five against Washington on Feb. 23, 2007. ... Sixers G Willie Green missed his second game with a slightly separated left shoulder. F Jason Smith missed his third straight game with a sprained right ankle, and newcomer Francisco Elson, recovering from hernia surgery, was not in uniform.
