過去有人說，我們常去拜訪這些新創團隊、還有地方的農業人士，有什麼用？我帶Agriweather團隊拜訪陳映延理事，打貓合作社，又有什麼用？
現在我跟各位報告，Agriweather團隊的感測器，已經佈滿打貓合作社的鳳梨園。
我們更有辦法掌握日照強度、溫濕度、風向、風速、雨量、空氣品質、大氣壓力、紫外線等、ＥＣ值。
產量、質量，都會有所提升。
今天，我與Agriweather團隊，一起跟美國在台協會AIT農業組組長會面，我們希望在不久的將來，台灣優秀的團隊，不僅可以與美國團隊合作，更希望能夠擴大彼此的市場。
我也表達，台北市政府的產業局有臺北市創業服務辦公室- Startup@Taipei，能夠提供財務法律諮詢，除此之外，昨天開始的2019 Smart City Summit & Expo 論壇，更是我們把服務介紹給世界的機會。
台北市是首都，我們能替台灣扮演的角色，應該更多，我們也願意提供更大的平台，讓台灣其他的城市一起共榮。

Today I met with Riddler Lu and Shaw Wu to discuss their recent work at Beehive Data Technology Co., Ltd. The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Chung Hwa Pulp Corporation Dr. Kirk Hwang and Chief of the Agricultural Section of the American Institute in Taiwan Mark Petry.
Beehive’s AgriWeather Data Technology aims to combat the significant challenges to crop stability that will be brought about by climate change in the near future. By collecting and analyzing data that surpasses traditional farmers’ estimates, the AgriWeather technology can predict when the most suitable harvest time is for most crops. Furthermore, through real-time analysis of soil conditions, weather and other factors the technology can act as an early warning system, providing farmers crucial advice such as when to shade crops and reduce fertilizer usage.
The meeting was an excellent example of the work that start-ups are doing in Taiwan. It’s exciting to see the start-up scene continuing to flourish and grow, fueled by Taipei’s innovative young minds. It is also an excellent example of how Taiwanese companies are maintaining a competitive edge on the global stage though different sections of government, business, scholarship and agriculture all exchanging viewpoints.
