It was reported that since the MCO, the ministry's Talian Kasih hotline had seen a 57% increase in calls from women in distress.
去年底回美國前，在台灣禾馨例行檢查婦科時，發現囊腫長大很多，快要九公分那樣的大小，但因為差兩天要上飛機了沒辦法做手術，所以想說幾個月回台灣再處理。
結果因為疫情關係，行程仍然遙遙無期。
朋友家人都建議在美國看，趕快動手術，但這種事情一方面需要熟悉感，另一方面也有點不想面對。
直到某個 原本「應該很浪漫」的夜晚，情況急轉直下，我的下腹部痛到無力，差點想打救護車送急診。但傳說美國急診貴到誇張，於是我倒在床上傳訊息給禾馨的張醫師，剛好她在，她立刻幫我找到病歷，建議我一些處理方式，觀察一下再看看。
眼看著不知道何時回台灣，我只好硬著頭皮掛了美國醫生的號（我有保險，還好），找了一位台灣裔醫生，想說醫學專有名詞如果能用中文溝通比較好。
傳言美國醫院要等很久，也對也不對，跟大家分享我自己第一次看診（婦產科OBGYN）的經驗。

如果你在美國有醫院保險，會有一個指定的個人醫生，有問題先找他，他判斷後會幫你轉診。
但婦產科是專門科，所以不需要個人醫生幫忙，直接打去醫院即可，護士A接了電話之後，問了我詳細的個人資訊和病史，就跟我說過幾天會有婦產科護士B打給我。
過幾天婦產科專門護士B打給我後，問了更詳細的病史各種資訊（用英文描述醫療病史真的很挑戰不是我在說😂），然後安排了預約時間，最快時間是⋯兩週後，嗯。
終於兩週到了，到了醫院掛完號就去排隊，等候的人不會像台灣超多人，在台灣因為實在等太久，我通常是選擇特約門診，缺點就是貴一點，但時間很好抓，不會延誤到工作行程。
工程師陪我在外面等，第一次護士叫我進去時，工程師本來要一起，結果被擋下來，「我們裡面不夠位置喔，你要稍等，晚點再讓你進來。」
於是我一個人有點緊張的進去。其實裡面大得很，並沒有容不下工程師的位置。
護士請我量體重，讓我坐著問一些是否有藥物過敏的資料。
然後突然問我，「Is there any domestic violence happened on you?」
我一時反應不過來，於是她拿出一張紙說，「上面有三個問題，妳看看然後跟我說」
1.過去一年，你的伴侶有肢體攻擊你嗎？
2.過去一年，你的伴侶有強迫你做不想要的性行為嗎？
3.你害怕你的伴侶嗎？
「喔，三項都沒有！」
「很好」
看到這張真的是讓我非常驚艷，難怪剛剛護士把先生擋著不讓他來，婦產科是女性社會安全的一張防護網，部分受暴婦女可能會受到另一半時時監控，但若是婦產科就有很合理的空間讓女性求助。
這點真是太貼心了，台灣也許可以學一下？
（工程師看到之後居然說，他三項都想打勾😒）

看診時，工程師可以在一邊，話說這點倒是很奇怪，台灣一般女生內診時，另一半不會進去吧😂
醫生大部分時間說英文，我聽不懂的專有名詞則說中文溝通，其實過程沒有想像中那麼困難。
唯一有個語言上覺得好笑的部分是，醫師看著我在台灣的超音波照片，然後用手觸診確認一下。
（美國要照超音波要另外預約時間，又是兩週後⋯）
「I can feel it. It’s a good size」醫生說。而且說了好幾次Good size這個詞。
Good size，到底是什麼？
聽起來好像被稱讚了還不錯？
直到他說，「通常這種囊腫如果尺寸小一點，不一定要做手術，但你的屬於good size，所以基本上就是要手術沒錯。」
原來老美的Good size是很大的意思😭

總而言之，第一次在美國看診經驗還算不錯，但即使有保險，還是會提心吊膽不知道會不會突然出現一張不給付的高額帳單就是了。
這點真是不禁讓人想起台灣的好啊⋯⋯
