“เพลงนี้คีย์อะไร?”
หลังจากที่สัปดาห์ก่อนผมได้พูดถึง Chord Progression ไปแล้ว เพื่อนๆที่ได้อ่านน่าจะมีความเข้าใจถึงคอร์ดในคีย์ C ว่ามีคอร์ดอะไรบ้างและนำมาเรียงกันในแบบไหนได้บ้างนะครับ
แต่คำถามที่หลายคนสงสัยต่อเนื่องมาก็คือ
“เพลงนี้คีย์อะไร?”
เรื่องนี้มีประโยชน์ในหลายๆสถานการณ์นะครับ เช่น ในการหาสเกลที่จะใช้ในเพลงนั้น , การเล่นกับเครื่องดนตรีอื่นหรือนักร้อง ก็ต้องรู้คีย์ที่ตรงกันนะครับ ไม่อย่างงั้นคงจะเล่นออกมาแล้วฟังดูแปลกๆแน่ๆ ในเรื่องนี้ขอแชร์วิธีการของผมนะครับ
1.สมมติฐานแรก ผมจะคิดว่า “คอร์ดแรกของเพลงจะเป็นคีย์เพลง” ตัวอย่าง
-ไกลแค่ไหนคือใกล้ คอร์ดแรก G ก็เป็นคีย์G
- ลูกอม D
- ไม่บอกเธอ E
- ไม่ให้เธอไป Em เป็นต้น
แต่ไม่ได้แปลว่าจะใช้ได้ในทุกกรณีนะครับ ลองดูข้ออื่นๆ
2.จะมีเพลงบางเพลงที่ไม่ได้เริ่มต้นด้วยคอร์ด1 เราใช้การฟังเอาว่าคอร์ดไหนที่ฟังแล้วรู้สึกว่าเพลงจบ ตัวอย่าง
- หยุด มีคอร์ด C/Bm/Am,D/G ถ้าใช้การคิดว่าคอร์ดแรกคือชื่อคีย์ ตอบว่าเพลงหยุดคีย์C ผิดทันทีครับ! เพลงนี้อยู่ในคีย์ G แต่ใช้คอร์ด C (คอร์ดที่4)มาขึ้นก่อน นั่นคือ chord progression 4/3/2,5/1 ซึ่งมีเพลงที่ใช้ chord progression นี้เยอะพอสมควรเลยครับเช่น วาฬเกยตื้น, 40km/hr ครับ
3.หากสองข้อแรกแล้วยังไม่แน่ใจ ลองพิจารณาจากคอร์ดที่อยู่ในเพลงนั้นทั้งหมดว่ามีคอร์ดอะไรบ้าง โดยดูตารางในรูปประกอบนะครับ ตัวอย่าง
- “ใกล้” มีคอร์ด D/A/C#m/F#7 เพลงนี้คีย์A (มีคอร์ดในคีย์คือ A Bm C#m D E F#m) chord progression เพลงใกล้คือ 4/1/3/6 (คอร์ด6 ปรับจากminor เป็น 7)
- “คิด(แต่ไม่)ถึง” มีคอร์ด คือ D/D/E/E แค่ชุดนี้เราอาจจะยังไม่แน่ใจว่าใช่คีย์ A รึเปล่า แต่พอถึงท่อนฮุค มีคอร์ด คอร์ดแรก ก็มั่นใจได้ว่าเพลงนี้คีย์ A ครับ
4.ในบางกรณีที่ยากหน่อย คือไม่มีคอร์ดที่เป็นคอร์ด1 อยู่ในเพลงนั้นเลย
ตัวอย่าง
- ถ้าฉันเป็นเขา คอร์ด G/A/F#m/G เพลงนี้คีย์ Dนะครับ (ในคีย์D มีคอร์ดในคีย์คือ D Em F#m G A Bm)
- เกี่ยวกันไหม คอร์ด Cm/Cm/Dm/G7 เพลงนี้จะเป็นคีย์Bb นะครับ ใช้ Chord Progression 2/2/3/6เราจะรู้ได้เพราะคอร์ดเหล่านั้นเป็นคอร์ดที่อยู่ในคีย์ Bb ทั้งหมดครับ (คอร์ด6ปรับจาก minorเป็น7)
หากเพื่อนๆลองฝึกฝนดู และลองจำคอร์ดที่อยู่ในแต่ละคีย์ง่ายๆก่อน ก็จะใช้เวลาในการตอบว่าเพลงนี้คีย์อะไรได้เร็วขึ้นเรื่อยๆครับ ฝึกการใช้หูในการฟังประกอบไปด้วยเป็นการฝึก ear training จะยิ่งดีมากๆครับ
