Taigang Hot Springs is one of my favorites. There are several pools of varying temperatures, so there is something for everyone. And the hike there is very beautiful. The trail passes through a deciduous forest, which has autumn colors this time of year, and then through a bamboo forest, followed by a short hike up the river bed. Here the rocks show very clearly the passages of time, and walking on the trail is like looking back through the ages. It's not a particularly difficult hike, but there is one section where you will cross waist deep water. This year there is more hot water coming out than in previous years. At the starting village, Xiuluan, there is also a small wild hot spring which has a place to soak your feet.
