Vinales - 傳說中的仙境
導遊跟我們說，Vinales是最早的旅遊城市之一的原因是因為它的風景。相傳有位畫家在這裏畫了一幅畫，令世界開始注視這裏。此後，許多遊客便慕名而來。
旅遊業不但助長了當地經濟，亦令菸農可以向遊客出售雪茄。否則，農民們仍然會生活在貧困之中。而旅遊業亦逐漸成為讓當地人致富的行業。導遊告訴我們，如果沒有遊客，他永遠不會有手機（更不用說iPhone6s），或者發短信或者買房子。
因為古巴的房價非常高，往往需要三代人的儲蓄才能買到房子（而且古巴只能用現金全付）。他說，即使在非旺季，他每月仍可以賺取CUC700，約是當地醫生（約CUC50-60cuc)的14倍喔。
注：與我們的認知相反；在古巴，雪茄實際上是非常昂貴的，因此，只有富人或種煙草農民才能一直享用雪茄。
Vinales - the legendary wonderland
According to our tour guide, the reason why Vinales is one of the earliest tourist cities is because of its scenery. It was a painter who painted this wonderland and brought it the eyesight of the world. Since then, many tourists come to here and the tourism helped the local economy as tobacco farmers could sell tobacco to tourists. Otherwise, this farmer would still live in poverty.
As such, the local was actually very grateful to the tourists because, in Cuba, the tourism was the only industry that makes people rich. The tour guide told us that he was fortunate enough to speak good English and joined this industry. If there was no tourists, he would never have a mobile phone (let alone a phone 6s), or send a text message or buy a house.
The housing price is very high in Cuba and require saving from 3 generations to buy one (as Cuban could only pay in cash). He said that when he could earn as much as CUC700 a month even in non-peak season and it is 10 plus times more than a doctor (about CUC50-60cuc).
Note: Contrast to our knowledge, cigar is actually very expensive in Cuba and, hence, only rich people or tobacco farmer could afford to have cigar all the times.
