Despite the global shift to cage-free eggs, Din Tai Fung continues to source eggs from hens crammed in barren, metal cages.
Hens confined to battery cages live a miserable existence. They spend their entire lives in the space of an A4 sheet of paper, and are packed so tightly they can barely spread their wings.
EAST has been in contact with Din Tai Fung about this issue since January 2018, and is disappointed that Din Tai Fung has repeatedly stalled and failed to commit to providing consumers with 100% cage-free eggs.
