美國樂團「Slipknot」的主唱Corey Taylor曾在訪問中公開表示他覺得抖音是給怪人玩的東西，並對抖音兩個字做出本能性的鄙視反射動作。
事情發生於最近一次的音樂雜誌Kerrang!訪問，主持人問他是不是沒在用社群軟體了，在他回答他為何停止使用推特等軟體後主持人快速接了一句：「I've been introduced to TikTok...」
Corey幾乎被自己喝的水嗆到，接了一句：「Oh God」
「我們都不應該使用抖音的」
「抖音是給怪人玩的」

美國時間五月六日，來自台灣的潘政琮在全美強敵環伺，眾所矚目的Ben Hogan Award Semifinalists名單中脫穎而出，在破紀錄的連續入圍Semifinalists四次之後終於成為2015年Ben Hogan Award- 班侯根獎最後三位的Finalists。潘政琮也是暨2010，Nick Taylor ; 2013，Chris Williams之後，華盛頓大學第三次有球員入選成為該獎項的Finalists。贏得這項大獎的球員將能參加明年PGA Tour Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial，其所屬學校能獲得兩萬美元的獎學金補助。另外兩位Finalists的所屬學校也會獲得各一萬兩千五百美元。
另外兩位入圍Finalists的球員是來自史丹佛大學的Maverick McNealy與來自亞利桑那州立大學的Jon Rahm，這是第一次所有的Finalists都來自同一個Conference，三位都屬於Pac-12，而在此之前，Pac-12的球員已經連續三屆贏走這項大獎，今年將會是連續第四屆。同時史上目前只有一位非美國籍選手得過該獎，來自加拿大的Nick Taylor，今年，台灣的潘政琮或是西班牙的Jon Rahm都有可能成位第二位外國籍得獎的選手。
Ben Hogan Award，班侯根獎，是一年一度美國大學男子高爾夫球員個人最高榮譽獎項，與另外一個獎項，Jack Nicklaus Award，區別在於，前者的評鑑標準涵蓋ＮＣＡＡ球員大學賽事與其他所有業餘賽事 ;而後者只評量球員在大學賽事的成績表現。可以說，Ben Hogan Award是全美男子大學球員的最佳業餘選手獎項，深受美國高爾夫球界重視，亦有極高的曝光。
這三位Finalists將會在PGA Tour Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial 的前夕被邀請到Colonial Country Club，Fort Worth參加黑領結晚宴。晚宴上除了逐一詳細介紹三位Finalists，現場訪問他們以外，每年會邀請到不同的高球傳奇作為演講嘉賓，2015年的嘉賓是生涯擁有十三座PGA冠軍，七座長春冠軍的選手Bruce Lietzke 。過去曾經擔任演講嘉賓的貴賓包含Charles Coody, Ben Crenshaw, Bruce Devlin, Tom Lehman, Jim Nantz, Corey Pavin, Dave Stockton, Pat Summerall, Ken Venturi 與 Lanny Wadkins 。
