1. For those who are on medication, please be an obedient one, take your medication on time and dont missed it. Especially those on asthma medication, antihypertensive and insulin.
Don come into us for complication due to missed medication, it really helps us a lot in reduce admission.
2. Don merayau-rayau on the road unnecessarily. Reduce the accident on the road, which comprises a large portion on emergency dept admission.
3. Dear parents, it is the best time to show off your cooking skill. Cook in the house, prepare the healthy meals for the love one, so they wont come in because of food poisoning / acute gastroenteritis. 👨🍳👩🍳👨🌾
4. Dear smokers, we know you are bored. Damn bored, but please, don smoke for this critical moment, especially those with small children at home. Their breathing airways are sensitive, and we still receiving quite a number of child with respiratory distress in exacerbation ( and yeah mostly related to smoking).
5. It is NOT a festival for binge eating for now. Eat with your own portion, we don wish to accept any patient came in due to hyperglycemia or vomiting due to overfeeding ( yes we do!) 🤢🤮
6. For those who are on fluid restriction due to heart and kidney disease, please be self discipline. Don simply simply drink a big amount of water and came to us for fluid overload.
7. I know this is weird but please control your temper with the kiddos, we don wish to accept any abuse case at this moment. They could be naughty and misbehave, but we hope the parents behave as well 😬😬
8. For those with clinic appointment but not urgent one ( review growth and development in kids for example), you can kindly call up the hospital clinic to postpone the appointment, we are happy to help with that.
Lets reduce the admission and visit to hospital so all of us can focus on COVID war at this moment. You ARE A HERO too if you play your parts well.

Today I’d like to share a rather personal story, which I don’t usually do on social media.
I used to smoke cigarettes 🚬 when I was younger & started when I was a polytechnic student🎒 Having graduated secondary school where discipline was enforced heavily from my hair to my attire, entering poly was really liberating for a rebellious kid like me at the time. I grew my hair long, tried crazy colours & hairstyles and being a B-boy where how we dressed was extremely important, everyday to school was like a fashion show for me. I was loud & proud😜 Around the same time, I picked up cigarettes as well. Majority of my close poly mates were smokers & as cliché as it sounds, I really did pick up the habit as it felt “cool.” 😎 Ironically, just a few years before as a Sec 2 kid, I hated it when my friends smoked. I would say “Why would U pay to get cancer? I’ve got better things to do🤷🏻♂️” There I was a few years later in poly with a different state of mind & cigarette in hand. The habit stuck & I continued smoking through NS. It was only when I ORD’ed & shortly after I entered the entertainment industry that I stopped. I was older, more mature and saw first hand how my parents’ health & bodies were changing as they aged. I came to the realisation there’s only two ways I would quit - I could either quit now standing up or I could quit lying down bedridden in a hospital from some illness brought about by smoking. It made me realise the immense importance of taking care of my health as a young man, so that when I’m at my parent’s age I would be in a good place & healthy. I stayed commited to quit & when I finally did it, it was liberating😌 In recent years, I’ve worked hard & indulged myself deeply in my passions like acting🎬, performing🕺🏻 & music🎹 I began working out🏋🏻♂️, paying attention to my diet & what I put in my body🥑🍱, and also picked up cooking recently👨🏻🍳 There are so much more beneficial & #BetterThingsToDo and I hope me sharing my experience would inspire someone out there to quit & if U’re a non-smoker, keep on keeping on! 💪🏻🤩 Now that U’ve heard my story I’d like to hear yours too so share your experience in the comments below!😎

【楊桃美食網】滷出色澤油亮的控肉Braising a beautifully colored and lustrous pork belly
材料:五花肉、蔥段、薑片、滷包、紅蔥頭、兩份糖、醬油
Ingredients: pork belly, scallions, ginger slices, seasoning pouch for braising, shallots, two portions of sugar, and soy sauce
1.五花肉不可先切塊,這樣滷出來才不會變形,先準備一鍋滾水把整塊帶皮的五花肉下鍋煮熟,大約要煮約40分鐘。
2.準備滷汁,準備鍋子開火加入沙拉油,再放入紅蔥頭、蔥段、薑片爆香,炒拌爆香看起來呈現金黃色,這樣會比較香,這樣就可以盛起至滷鍋中。
3.把糖加入剛爆香的鍋中,開大火拌炒,糖會開始融化,融化後開小火,持續拌炒注意此時煙會很大,炒到糖變成咖啡色且起泡就可關火。
馬上加入你滷汁的水量,攪拌一下後開火,讓糖溶化在水中,這時水的色澤就會偏黃紅色,這樣就可倒入滷鍋中。
4.之後加入醬油、糖、滷包,而醬油主要是來調滷汁的顏色,而糖因為剛剛炒的糖並不會有甜味甚至可能會有苦味,所以須再加入糖來增加甜度。
5.五花肉煮熟後把肉泡冷水,再取出切塊切片,再放入滷鍋中煮,煮的時間約90分鐘,煮之後關火再泡20~30分鐘,這樣肉就會鬆弛,肥肉部位就會有入口即化的感覺,這樣就完成色澤油亮的魯肉。

Immediately pour in the water for the marinade, stir it a little then turn on the fire, and let the sugar dissolve in the water. When the water becomes yellowish red in color, you may pour it into the braising pot.
4. Afterwards add soy sauce, sugar, the brine bag. The soy sauce is primarily used to adjust the color and the fried sugar is will not be sweet and may have a bitter taste so it is necessary to add sugar to increase the sweetness.
5. Soak the cooked pork belly in cold water, then remove and cut into slices, then put it into the boiling braising pot and cook for about 90 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it soak for 20 to 30 minutes, this will tenderize the meat and the fatty meat will have the sensation of melting in your mouth, this completes the lustrous and beautifully colored braised meat.

½~1 Umeboshi - Pickled Japanese Plum
1 tbsp Shirasu Whitebait
1~2 tbsp Chopped Takana-zuke - pickled takana greens
2 Shiso Leaves
Toasted White Sesame Seeds
80g Steamed Rice (2.82 oz)
Hojicha - a type of Japanese green tea
- Topping Suggestions -
Toasted Tarako - salted Alaska pollock roe
Salted Kombu Seaweed
Ika Shiokara - salted semi-fermented squid

* If you can't find these toppings in your area, look for savory salted ingredients as substitutes. The upside of sauteing salmon in a pan is that it doesn't give off much smoke and the cleanup is easy.
