Soaking into the Northern Thailand Culture. Do you know that there are more than 5 hill tribes in Chiang Rai? Didn’t go to the hill tribe village but I attended @akhakitchen cooking class as I heard that the kids are not going to school so that they can continue the hill tribe traditions for the tourists. Feeling a tad upset about it.
Negative stuff aside, Jaruwan is from one of the Hill tribes, the Akha tribes, and she is such a sweetie to learn from. We started our morning with a visit to a local market, learn to cook 5 dishes. So glad to know some new friends from other parts of the world while while enjoying the fruit of our labour over the dining table with heaps of laughers. Oh yes, this is taken at a hill tribe souvenir shop near the local market in Chiang Rai by my lovely new fren from UK @charlotte_jones_13.
Can’t wait to do another cooking class in Laos with @travelinspiration360 & @flyscoot next week!!
