We discovered an important link today between two existing COVID-19 clusters — the Grace Assembly of God church (our biggest cluster) and the Life Church and Missions church.
Cases 83 and 91 had only mild symptoms earlier, and had not been diagnosed with COVID-19. But a new serological test — which detects antibodies in the blood, instead of the virus itself — done subsequently confirmed that they had been infected earlier, and linked the two clusters together.
This breakthrough would not have been possible without close cooperation among the Ministry of Health, Singapore, Singapore Police Force and researchers from Duke-NUS Medical School, who developed the serological test, the world's first, here in Singapore. My thanks to all of you for a job well done!
For now, the best thing we can all do is to continue practising good hygiene, and be socially responsible — do not go to gatherings if you are feeling unwell. Together, we can beat the coronavirus. – LHL

The WHO held the first session of its executive board meeting Feb. 3 in #Geneva, with one of the main topics the global response to the Wuhan #coronavirus outbreak in China. Although #Taiwan has no seat at the table, the country's diplomatic allies spoke up for its 23 million people.
#Paraguay representative Julio César Peralta Rodas noted the potential dangers caused by excluding a country with 10 confirmed cases of the disease, contrary to the WHO's insistence on #LeaveNoOneBehind.
He was followed by #Eswatini representative Simon Zwane, who emphasized the contributions Taiwan can bring to the table thanks to its world-renowned health care expertise. Despite protestations from the Chinese representative, his powerful words hammered home the message that without Taiwan, there's no ‘Health for All’!

【A Message to the World (From Taiwan)
This is a message that I would like to share with the world.
A message from Taiwan.
Hi there, this is Vivi from Taiwan.
There’s something that I would like to share with you.
With more than 1.7 million confirmed cases and 100 thousand deaths around the world, the COVID19 pandemic outbreak has become the most challenging global health crisis of our time. This is an unprecedented time that has affected the lives of everyone in our global community, regardless of race, gender, culture, or skin colour.
At this defining moment in history, cooperation will bring upon the relief and clarity needed to triumph over a common threat facing humankind. In this fight, I, as a citizen of this global community, believe health is a fundamental human right that is inherent to all human beings. ‘Health For All, Leave No One Behind’ is a guiding principle of all health professionals, as well as a message that has resonated with us Taiwanese people through the toughest of times. In 2003, the SARS outbreak devastated my home country. Left isolated and marginalised by the WHO in the fight against SARS, we learned, through fearful uncertainty, how to tenaciously combat pandemics. But most importantly, the people of Taiwan experienced firsthand what it felt like to be left behind. Taiwan, despite just being miles off the coast of China, has effectively managed the spread of coronavirus in our country. And it is the belief that we should ‘leave no one behind’ that motivates us to play our role in the global community.
Taiwan can help, and Taiwan is helping.
In the past few weeks, the Taiwanese government has donated more than 10 million surgical masks to the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, India, Central America and South America. Other medical supplies are also finding their way to all continents around the globe. Since the very first days of the outbreak, the Taiwanese government has devoted itself to fighting this pandemic. Through information transparency, quick response, early deployment and the effective use of big data, the functions of our society continue without interruption. To share our knowledge on COVID-19 with the world, we created virtual forums, participated by numerous countries, of our successful and internationally recognised public health policies. Our government and research centres have also teamed up with the Czech Republic, European Union and the United States in sharing tactics and technology and collaborating on the development of vaccines and rapid test kits. Finally, we have worked with different governments in analysing the economic, social and psychological impact of the epidemic and related isolation measures.
Taiwan cares, and Taiwan helps.
This virus can tear up the world, but it will not shake the foundations of humanity’s values. For a worldwide pandemic that does not discriminate based on borders and nationalities, it is crucial that we, in times of a crisis like this, stay stronger together.
Taiwan never forgets her friends from around the world.
We are part of this global team and we are in solidarity with the rest of the world.
Taiwan stands with you.

I finally made it to the lakes up on ruisui lindao, which I had been trying to get to for over a year now. The first time I tried my car overheated and the second time there was a typhoon. This time Volvo lent me their V90CC and even though it was raining like crazy, we still go to the top and we had a good time.
🦉🐢
This road is really steep, and the first half is in quite bad shape. Once you get high up though, the road flattens out and it because a wonderful nice drive through a cypress forest. If you stick to this main road, you shouldn’t have any major problems. However, there are many side roads, and these require serious 4WD driving, and a car with a lot of ground clearance. I was impressed with the way the V90CC handled these roads, especially since the conditions were not ideal… it was very wet and muddy. I think that’s just how it’s going to be this summer. It seems to be raining almost every day.
The mountain is so beautiful though, even in the pouring rain. I am very glad I went. We successfully made it to the lakes and confirmed that they are really there (sometimes the satellite photos can be misleading), but I still want to go back again and explore more. It’s a hard drive though, so hopefully Volvo will lend me the V90CC again so that I can have another go.
At the beginning of this road, before you cross the river is one of my favorite camping spots. It’s the spot where I set up the tent in this video, and a very nice place to wild camp. I often stop there on my road trips around the island. I like it because it’s quite and peaceful, next to the river, and with a small place to swim, but still only 10 minutes away from convenience stores and restaurants. I’ve posted the GPS coordinates below.

Thanks @Volvo for making this possible.
