After one year of living in Vietnam and earning just enough to get by, I was ready to go back home. I had already given my day time school my farewell notice. But then, by some random chance I was in the teachers' lounge and another teacher was on the computer telling me there was a position open near me. So I applied for fun. I applied for the sake of having something to prove. I was about ready to go home. I was only supposed to live in Vietnam for a year. After the email and my resume was sent, OldBoy wrote me back right away and said something along the lines of, "I love your videos." Then the rest was history. It's been over four years.
I just want to take a moment and thank Yevato OldBoy for giving me the opportunity when few people did and to trust me with his business. I came to Vietnam fresh out of university with $1000 dollars to my name, student debt, and slept in another friend's kitchen for months. But OldBoy provided me with more work opportunities thus earning more thus being able to produce better and better videos. As I spent more and more time with his family, I became a much more positive and optimistic person. I was such a negative and bitter person in my first few years in Vietnam. But his love for Vietnam gradually inspired me to love and appreciate Vietnam even more, and thus I made better videos because my mindset changed and I'm where I am today thanks to him and his family.
To everyone reading this right now: Thank you for following us and investing your life into our lives. Tell your best friend that you appreciate them because finding a true good friend is so difficult these days. Finding someone you can call your brother is even more difficult.
