โซเวโต้ถือเป็นชุมชนสลัมที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในแอฟริกาใต้ก็ว่าได้
Soweto ย่อมาจาก SOuth WEst TOwnship
เป็นย่านของคนดำที่ถูกส่งมารวมกันอยู่ตั้งแต่ช่วง Apartheid
(Apartherd คือระบบในการแบ่งแยกสีผิวในแอฟริกาใต้)
โดยยุคนั้นจะแบ่งแยกคนขาว คนดำ ออกจากกัน
คือห้ามคนดำข้ามเขตเข้ามาโดยเด็ดขาด
ทำให้ที่นี่ในปัจจุบันก็ยังมีแต่คนดำ แม้ระบบจะยกเลิกไปแล้ว
จะมีคนขาวที่แต่งงานเข้ามาอยู่ ซึ่งมีแค่หลัก10คนเท่านั้น
เราได้นั่งรถบัสเข้ามาในเขตโวเวโต้แล้ว
สถานที่แรกที่มาคือพิพิธภัณฑ์ Hector Pieterson
ด้านในจะมีประวัติการต่อสู้เพื่อความเท่าเทียมกัน
ของคนผิวสีในยุคนั้น ไปจนถึงเหตุจลาจลครั้งใหญ่ (1976)

ที่เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการต่อสู้กับการเหยียดสีผิว
จากเหตุจลาจล ทำให้ได้ถูกตำรวจยิงขณะประท้วง
ภายในพิพิธภัณฑ์ห้ามถ่ายภาพ เราจึงไม่มีภาพมาให้ได้เห็น
แต่พูดได้เต็มปากเลยว่า เรารู้สึกได้ถึงความเศร้าและหดหู่
ตั้งแต่ก้าวเท้าเข้าไป.. ภายในมีภาพถ่าย วิดีโอ และป้ายชื่อเพื่อระลึกถึงเด็กที่เสียชีวิตในเหตุจลาจลครั้งนั้น
ทำให้เราได้รู้เลยว่ากว่าจะมาเป็นชุมชนที่เรายืนอยู่ตอนนี้
เค้าต้องสู้มาอย่างหนักมากๆ กว่าจะเป็นอย่างปัจจุบัน
บ้านเมืองตรงนั้นต่างจากภาพที่เราคิดไว้มากพอสมควร
ตอนแรกที่ได้รับข้อมูลมาคือชุมชนสลัม แต่จริงๆแล้ว
ตอนนี้แถวนั้นเจริญมากๆเลยนะ แต่ก็อาจจะเป็นการแบ่งโซน
ที่ชัดเจนของคนจนกับคนมีฐานะ และเพราะเรามาทำงาน
เลยไม่ได้รับอนุญาตให้ไปในโซนที่อาจมีความเสี่ยงได้
แต่มันก็เป็นเรื่องธรรมชาติแหละ ที่ไม่ว่าจะที่ไหนก็มีความเสี่ยงทั้งนั้น
แต่ถ้าให้นับเฉพาะคนที่เราเจอ ทุกคนน่ารักมากๆ โดยเฉพาะสาวๆกับเด็ก จะแต่งตัวกันจัดจ้านและชอบถ่ายรูปมาก
เราเดินไปเรื่อยๆ ขอคนที่เดินผ่านถ่ายรูป บางคนมีโอกาสได้คุยกันเล็กน้อย

เป็นครั้งแรกเลยที่เราได้มีโอกาสเดินทางมาประเทศคนผิวสี
เราชอบถ่ายรูปคนมากๆอยู่แล้ว ทริปนี้เลยมีความสุขเป็นพิเศษ
สำหรับเราคนที่นี่สวยมากๆ ทั้งใบหน้า สีผิว และสิ่งที่เค้าส่งออกมา
ทุกคนดูมีความสุข และสนุกกับการทำทุกๆอย่างตลอดเวลา
และสิ่งที่เราประทับใจที่สุดคือความมั่นใจกับรอยยิ้ม (-:

Soveto is the largest ghetto community in South Africa.
Soweto stands for South West Township
It's a black area that has been sent together since apartheid period.
(Apartherd is the system of apartheid in South Africa)
By that era will divide the white and black people.
Well no black people come across the area
There are only black people in this place. Even if the system is cancelled.
There will be only 10 married white people.
We have taken the bus to the voveto area.
First place to come is the Hector Pieterson Museum.
Inside there will be a history of fighting for equality.
