Back in China to work on a new movie! Yesterday I got of the plane in Hong Kong and immediately went onto the brand new Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge which is a 55-kilometre bridge–tunnel system consisting of a series of three cable-stayed bridges, an undersea tunnel, and four artificial islands. It is both the longest sea crossing and the longest fixed link on earth. It was a little eerie being the only car on this thing but it made the trip into China much quicker than usual.
We conquered the steepest cable car in the world! Woohoo!
The kids love to go on cable cars but this was a whole new experience altogether. The Langkawi Cable Car, or Langkawi SkyCab, has a gradient of 42° and is said to be the steepest in the world. No wonder the kids were so excited and kept screaming in joy when we were going up.
There are three stations for the cable car; the Top Station is located at the peak of Gunung Machinchang which is the second highest peak of Langkawi. We went up to a viewing platform which gave us a 360° view of the island. It was windy, cold but fun to be there and shiver together. Haha.
As if the thrill was not enough, we also made our way to the Langkawi Sky Bridge which is a 125-metre curved pedestrian cable-stayed bridge. To get there, we took a hike through the forest for around 20mins, went up and down countless steep steps and brushed past many monkeys too. That walk in itself so memorable already, not to mention when we were finally on the bridge at 660 metres above sea level. You can even take off your shoes and step or sit on the glass flooring to get a better feel of what's underneath.
This was a surely a fun and adventurous family day out for the kids to remember. Till more updates on our Langkawi trip!
P.S. The queue at the ticketing counter was so long when we arrived and the hubby wanted to give up already! Thankfully I bought our tickets from @klooktravel and received instant confirmation so we could collect our tickets from the online booking counter. Cheaper and faster too! Phew.

👉Introduction: Crossing the Tamshui river, ChungYang Bridge connects two district, Shilin and Sanchong, being one of the most important bridge in Taipei city. It is the first cable-stayed bridge in steel structure, with 905 meters in length and a peak width of 40 meters. People often take a walk or ride a bike at the riverside park, as it's also a beautiful place of viewing the sunset. It becomes more enchanting when the lights turn on in the evening, manifesting the structure of the bridge.

Cầu Mỹ Thuận là cây cầu dây văng bắc qua sông Tiền, nối liền hai tỉnh Tiền Giang và Vĩnh Long, Việt Nam. Cầu nằm cách Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh 125 km về hướng Tây Nam, trên Quốc lộ 1A, là trục giao thông chính của vùng đồng bằng sông Cửu Long. Đây là cầu dây văng đầu tiên của Việt Nam.
Cầu Cần Thơ là cây cầu bắc qua sông Hậu, nối thành phố Cần Thơ và tỉnh Vĩnh Long. Cầu Cần Thơ được khởi công xây dựng vào ngày 25 tháng 9 năm 2004 và được khánh thành vào ngày 24 tháng 4 năm 2010. Trụ có hình chữ Y ngược và hai chân khép vào để thu hẹp diện tích bệ trụ, hình dạng này rất đẹp và thanh thoát, không như hình chữ H xoạc cẳng, trụ có biểu tượng như hai bàn tay chắp lại vái lên trời với tâm linh của người Á Đông.

It was developed in a joint venture between the governments of Australia and Vietnam. The bridge was the largest overseas assistance project undertaken by the Australian government costing A$91 million.
Cần Thơ Bridge (Vietnamese: Cầu Cần Thơ), is a cable-stayed bridge over the Hậu (Bassac) River, the largest distributary of the Mekong River, in the city of Cần Thơ in southern Vietnam. The bridge is 2.75 kilometres long (1.68 miles). It has a 6-lane carriageway measuring 23 metres (76 feet) in width, with 4 lanes for traffic and two lanes for bicycles and motorbikes. It has a clearance of 39 metres (128 feet), which allows large ships to pass underneath it.[1] The bridge was inaugurated on April 24, 2010
