是開始，不是結束。
今天，高雄市民作出了自己的決定，終止了韓國瑜市長短短一年五個月的任期，也終止了國民黨在高雄市政府為高雄市民服務的契約。
我們尊重投票的結果，對於高雄市民，我們不但有滿心的感謝，也有許多的歉疚。感謝高雄市民在一年多前，願意給國民黨機會，給韓國瑜市長機會。歉疚的是，我們沒有好好把握高雄市民的溫暖，我們沒有好好回應高雄鄉親的期待，讓高雄市民收回了對於國民黨的期許。
在過去一年多的時間，韓國瑜市長帶領的市府團隊，對於高雄的付出，是一點一滴的積累，分分秒秒的堆疊。從道路整平，排水溝清淤、登革熱整治，到各式各樣的城市行銷，都是具體有感的改變，更是國民黨執政的成績單。這樣的市政成績，相信高雄市民都能感受到。
然而，高雄市民對於城市進步的期許，對於市府團隊的期待，更勝於我們的努力。面對高雄鄉親的不諒解，面對高雄市民的質疑與挑戰，我們一起面對，我們共同承擔。我們更要繼續努力，回應高雄人民的期待與要求；我們更要持續拚搏，贏回高雄鄉親的熱情與溫暖！
對於執政黨用行政力量明目張膽操縱罷免案，我們對此表示譴責與失望。這樣的做法對於台灣民主制度的發展，朝野共同合作面對後疫情世界變局的可能，都有深遠且負面的影響。
即便高雄市民在這次罷免投票中作出決定，仍沒有改變國民黨對於高雄的承諾。今天的投票，不是結束，而是開始。是國民黨重新檢視，繼續深耕高雄的開始，更是國民黨重新爭取高雄市民信任的開始。
「任憑風雨、繼續向前」是我們共同抱持的信念。國民黨沒有氣餒的時間，接下來幾天，我將會儘速與韓國瑜市長還有黨內的幹部磋商，討論如何面對接下來的補選挑戰，尋覓適切的人才，延續高雄市府團隊的努力與認真，贏回更多高雄市民的信任，謝謝大家。
The Kuomingtang (KMT) expresses its regret about the Kaohsiung City citizens' decision to recall incumbent Mayor Han Kuo-yu, a KMT member, on June 6. The expectations of the voters have apparently surpassed the endless effort made by the Kaohsiung City Government, and the KMT and Mayor Han have failed to meet the demands of these citizens who once felt very much dissatisfied with the performance of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in the City.
The KMT and Mayor Han sincerely provide an apology and convey their gratitude to the citizens of the Kaohsiung City who gave the Party a chance in 2018 to help Kaohsiung City move forward.
Chairman Johnny Chiang of the KMT states firmly that the Party – opposed to communism and aimed at building a democratic, free, prosperous and united country – and its members have always put Taiwan first for the benefit of the people. He vows to regain the trust of the Kaohsiung City citizens with the Party and strengthen the Party's work in the City immediately.
At the same time, Chairman Chiang disapproves of the obvious inappropriate involvement and political manipulation of the DPP, the ruling party of the Republic of China (Taiwan), in this recall vote.
He feels worried that this has impacted in a negatively profound way Taiwan's democratic institution and possible bipartisan cooperation in critical issues concerning the future of Taiwan.
