1. I grew up in Dallas, Texas. I always felt a little out of place when I was young (as a mixed girl surrounded by mostly white people) but I am glad I learned to embrace myself pretty early on too.
2. My favorite scents are coffee grounds, the houses and cars of smokers, cilantro, my hands after I've just cut strawberries or a pineapple, old books, and...this one particular UPS store.
3. Creative expression is my greatest passion in life, along with experimentation!
4. My perfect meal would be something vegetarian, obviously, but also healthy, fresh, and radiating with love...#1 on the menu at this one restaurant called 花草空間 that I visited recently in Hualien (owned by an artist who crafts polymer miniatures of food and animals and plants and literally anything and everything, I must add) feels like the perfect example. Wrap it up with fresh fruit straight from the farmer who grew it, and a thick espresso in a small porcelain mug.
5. I prefer coffee over tea, either a strong brown sugar latte (with a nice creamy foam sprinkled with brown sugar granules for both textural variation and more thoughtfully incorporating the drink's theme) or an espresso. I like tea though too sometimes and should probably drink hot tea more often to get over my coffee addiction! I also love jasmine bubble milk tea and 奶蓋綠! ❤️
