Broadway Show 應該是紐約最值得花錢的娛樂，Broadway Show 是指集中在百老匯大街周圍的40家百老匯劇院 (Broadway Theatres) 所上演的世界一流項級音樂劇 (Musical) 、話劇 (Play) 及舞蹈（Dance) 表演。雖然門票平均大概 USD100，但還是有很多方法可以買到平票~!
1) 早起有平票！時代TKTS！
比較大眾的方法就是到時代廣場 (Time Square) 或南街海港 (South Street Seaport) 的 TKTS Discount Booth 的櫃檯購買8-5折的折扣票。但你必須提早前往購買，才有機會買到你想看的表演和較好位子。
時代廣場 TKTS (只出售當天特價票)
購買當天下午場票的購票時間：
星期三至六：10am-2pm
星期日：11am-3pm
購買當天下晚場票的購票時間：
星期一至六：3am-8pm
星期日：3pm到開演前半小時
南街海港 TKTS (出售當天、隔天午場、晚場的特價票）

2) 有運就便宜！網上抽正位！
不排隊的話，不少訂購網也有提供折扣票，有時也有不錯的價格。Broadwaybox、Theatermania、Playbill、TKTS 這些網站有原價票、折扣票、抽獎票 (Lottery Ticket) 這三種票種。因為某些音樂劇沒有折扣，所以有時候必須買原價票。折扣票則是在登入之後使用優惠券代碼 (Coupon Code) 而得到5－7.5折不等的選項，優惠券代碼可直接從以上網站或時代廣場的詢問處 (Information Centre) 找到。至於抽獎票就是憑運氣用最少的錢買到最好的票，原價 USD100 的前排位子也可以減到USD20，如果你有時間慢慢抽的話，這個選擇也蠻不錯。

到底什麼是百老匯？
百老匯劇院是指可以坐有500人或以上的劇場，外百老匯 (Off-Broadway) 就是100-499人的場館，外外百老匯 (Off-Off-Broadway) 則是100人以下的場地。
又到底要買什麼座位？
劇院裡的位子種類有很多，一樓叫 Orchestra，二樓叫 Mezzanine，一樓中叫 Central Orchestra， 兩邊就是Left and right，還有些位子叫 Partial View，會有柱子檔著你，所以會便宜很多。Central Orchestra 跟 Front Central Mezzanine 都是很好的位子，但其實只要是 Central 就應該會不錯啦。
最常被推介的經典劇目包括歌劇魅影（The Phantom of the Opera）、壞女巫（Wicked）、芝加哥（Chicago）、摩門之書（The Book of Mormon）、媽媽咪呀 (MaMa Mia) 等等，而我的最愛則是獅子王 (The Lion King) 。

五年前，連音樂劇跟歌劇有啥不同都搞不清楚的我，後天要參與第一次的音樂劇演出。
從小就愛唱歌跳舞，但是從來都沒有正式的學習過。
而跟當年第一次參與滑雪課程一樣，接觸正確的教學之後更能發現自己的不足，但也因為有這樣的理解，也才有可能走向正確的方向 ; 基礎打好，才有可能跑的更高更遠。
過去兩週，20多位完全不同年齡的音樂劇愛好者們聚在一起，當中有不擅長歌唱的專業舞者、不太會跳舞的聲樂家、國中生、高中生、家庭主婦、小學老師、三項全能，加上五音不全、左右不分的叔叔一枚。
經過每天10個小時以上的密集鍛鍊，所有人都扛出了「洪荒之力」，全心全力的投入在了這場音樂劇課程的成果演出。
希望我們對音樂、戲劇、舞蹈的愛能感動到更多的人，更重要的是，一遍又一遍的再度感動自己。

I have to admit that I wasn't a big fan of musical theater to begin with.
But after hearing 陳明秀 & 陳明哲 singing and belting songs from "Avenue Q", "The book of Mormon", "Company" over, over and over again, I started to get a liking for it, and eventually, felt in love with it.
Day after tomorrow, a group a very talented individuals have gotten together to perform a few numbers loosely based on the musical "Footloose" in Taipei.
From just fooling around with characters' funny voices in "Everyone's a little bit racist", to learning a full blown "Footloose" opening number with complicated dance moves while singing and acting, it came a very long way.
