Motivational videos are not going to magically make you successful.
For most people, it only gives them the illusion that they’re doing something.
If you watch Michael Jordan shoot a 3-pointer a thousand times, will you be able to do the same?
Before you can use the motivation, you need skills.
And to get the skills you need, there are 3 pieces…
1) Proximity
Proximity is power.
You need feedback from someone. It could be a mentor or someone you look up to.
You need to get as close to that person as possible.
Otherwise, how will you know if you’re shooting the ball correctly? What if there’s a better and easier way?
2) Immersion
How do you get good at something?
You immerse yourself into that one thing.
Watching a couple of videos cannot teach you how to become the best basketball player.
What’s the one thing in your life right now that you’re the best at? How did you get good at that?
Through days, months, or even years of focused immersion.
3) Experience
Now that you have the mentor close to you, and you’re totally immersed into what you want to be successful at…
You need to put what you learn into action.
Through that comes experience.
And from experience comes mastery.
I can tell you, +80% of my students have never closed a deal before over the phone. Yet, when they followed these 3 steps, they upgraded their skills every day.
To the point where they now use their skills to improve their relationships, change other people’s lives, or scale their income.
Until you do this, motivational videos is not going to work for you.
