Duties & Responsibilities
• Establishing budgets, performance specifications and Sales estimates
• Stay current on market trends and competitive activity

[Gagalkah Hidupku Kerana Kurang Cemerlang Dalam SPM?]
Tahniah buat adik-adik yang mendapat keputusan cemerlang di dalam SPM yang diumumkan hari ini. Lumrahnya media atau manusia akan ‘highlight’ mereka yang cemerlang namun bagaimana dengan mereka yang tidak mendapat semua ‘A’?
Penulisan ini saya tujukan buat adik-adik yang tidak mendapat semua ‘A’ atau banyak ‘A’ atau langsung tiada ‘A’ dalam SPM.
Saya tidak mendapat sebarang ‘A’ di dalam ujian SPM saya. Kita adalah sama. Saya mendapat tawaran biasasiswa untuk masuk ke sebuah universiti tempatan walaupun tidak mendapat keputusan yang cemerlang kerana pencapaian saya dalam bermain Bolasepak sehingga mewakili pasukan kebangsaan bawah 17 tahun.
Mungkin ramai fikir, saya akan menerimanya namun saya tidak ragu-ragu untuk menolak tawaran itu tanpa berbincang dengan IbuBapa saya terlebih dahulu. Saya sedar dan tahu keadaan ekonomi keluarga yang tidak begitu baik. Kedua-dua IbuBapa saya bekerja sebagai tukang kayu dan pembantu buruh serta kakak saya yang waktu itu sedang belajar di kolej. Cukuplah beban yang ditanggung oleh mereka berdua.
Apabila saya maklumkan kepada IbuBapa saya, mereka bertanya kenapa tidak berbincang dengan mereka dahulu sebelum menolak. Saya menjawab saya perlu mengambil keputusan ini kerana tidak mahu mereka bersusah payah untuk menampung dua anak yang belajar di kolej dan universiti.
Jelas kelihatan tanda kecewa mereka di atas keputusan saya namun mereka tidak marah dan akur akan keputusan yang diambil oleh saya. Saya telah terbiasa kerja sebagai pembantu buruh di tapak pembinaan sewaktu cuti semasa sekolah rendah dan bekerja kilang bag sejak muda untuk duit saku.
Kerja pertama saya selepas SPM adalah sebagai jurujual jalanan barangan RM10 & RM20 yang mendekati pelanggan di kedai makan, pejabat, rumah dan sebagainya. Kerja yang tiada bayaran asas tetapi hanya bergantung kepada komisen hasil jualan.
Saya pernah juga berniaga menjual penapis air dileter dan gagal. Menjadi Sales Manager bagi produk Redtone pada usia 21 tahun walaupun hanya ada sijil SPM. Saya juga pernah membuka Restoran Zheng He Dim Sum selepas memeluk Islam tetapi gagal dan berhutang lebih dari seratus ribu.
Saya juga pernah bekerja sebagai Senior Account Manager di sebuah syarikat public listed walaupun syarat memohon mestilah sekurang-kurangnya Bachelor Degree tetapi saya tetap memohon dan akhirnya diterima kerja walaupun hanya ada SPM sahaja. Gaji asas sahaja waktu itu hampir RM5,000 dan dicampur komisen, purata gaji bulanan lebih lima angka. Apa kelayakan saya waktu itu? SPM sahaja.
Kini saya, seorang yang hanya berkelayakan SPM memilih untuk berhenti kerja sebagai Senior Account Manager bergaji purata lima angka untuk berdakwah sepenuh masa yang waktu itu tidak menjanjikan sebarang gaji asas dan Alhamdulilah, telah lima tahun dan masih lagi hidup dan telah mengembara ke beberapa benua untuk menyebarkan agama yang dicintai ini. Kelayakan saya hanyalah SPM tanpa sebarang ‘A’.
Kenapa saya kongsikan pengalaman hidup saya dengan adik-adik semua? Nasihat yang saya ingin kongsikan kepada adik-adik adalah usah membiarkan satu keputusan atau situasi dalam kehidupan kita menentukan siapakah kita pada masa hadapan dan apa yang kita mampu capai dalam kehidupan.
Berjaya atau gagal dalam kehidupan tidak bergantung kepada satu atau dua sijil yang kita miliki. Sama ada mahu berjaya atau gagal terletak pada cara pemikiran kita serta ketakwaan kita kepada Allah Subhanu Wa Ta’ala.
Tiada kegagalan bagi mereka yang masih berusaha. Kegagalan yang kita hadapi seorang bukannya satu kegagalan tetapi satu lagi mata pelajaran yang tidak diajar di sekolah iaitu kita telah belajar sesuatu yang baru dan kegagalan ini hanya akan menjadi kegagalan hakiki apabila kita pasrah dan tersungkur tanpa usaha untuk bangkit dan terus bangkit.
Bukan juga suatu kegagalan andai kita kerja sebagai despatch, tukar bersih, tukang masak dan bukannya jurutera, doktor mahupun peguam selagi mana rezeki kita halal.
Teruskanlah berusaha dan jangan biarkan keputusan SPM menentukan nasib dan kejayaan yang anda boleh capai. Teruskan usaha dan teruskan belajar. Pembelajaran bukan sekadar di sekolahatau kolej ataupun universiti. Selagi nyawa dikandung badan, selagi itu kita belajar. Yang boleh melanjutkan pelajaran, teruskan pengajian ke tahap tertinggi. Usaha dan Taqwa pada Allah, InshaAllah pasti akan dibukakan jalan olehNya.

Jangan tanya sekali Q berapa points dapat. Itu zaman dulu boleh 50 points satu Q. Zaman dulu-dulu. Sekarang pegang Q pun tak pandai.
