...Continue Reading" Do we have to be successful in life, brother
A student walked in to ask after the lecture. This question is in my head to home. The question is interesting. But what I am more interested in ' answer ' is ' source ' of this question.
What makes a twenty-year-old girl ask this question?
I don't think she is the only one who has a question if it is a representative of the same age of the same age and grievance.
Is it possible that the root of this question is the tiredness from trying to chase success, pressure from seeing the 'good life' of those who look like successful fast surround themselves, including carrying expectations from Parents, relatives, teachers, teachers, including society. You must be smart.
Does the world have space to help? Announce a lot of 'success'. TV, online media, clip, interview. Anyone who has done anything will have space to tell their own story.
But -- the world has so little space for 'failure'
...
When someone hasn't done anything or incomplete, disappointed, so he feels alone, humiliated and doesn't know where to put these ' destruction ' in the world. When they look around, there are only areas of success.
' broken ' is kept in my heart. I don't go anywhere. Slowly spread to eat. Feeling good for yourself. I can't talk to friends. It's not consecrated with parents. Or encourage you to be more diligent. Be kind. I say " you can do it. Fight him "
But no one consent to us to lose.
When the destruction becomes a personal thing to keep, it's like a bad leavening that gradually works in the body. It's a bad disease that eats our heart. We are bored of the world. I feel bad about myself. It's a grey. This symptom has happened
We feel bad that this life has to 'win' only.
But 'loser' still happens every day. Btw, everyone will lose one day.
We focus too little on ' failure '. That's the cause of sickness in modern society.
When someone is heartbroken, I think it's a little bit. You should come back to be strong soon. When someone fails, we will tell him that they will be successful.
We barely care about ' failure ' in the present, but always look at ' success ' in the future.
...
An important area that should be together is a space for losers and failure, not a depressing area where we can talk about disappointment without being shy or even tell a failed attempt.
This can happen. Attitude to failure must change first. It's not embarrassing. It's not bad things. It's a share. Learn from each other. Embracing each other's feelings. Hold each other.
We should create a society where #failure is normal. Allow children to fail. Allow friends to fail and help to support each other through the beauty within the mind.
A society that has space for failure. When we miss, we will dare to tell the mistake. There is no suffering. No need to be embarrassed. Don't rush. We feel like this normal. We will not spread to the sickness.
...
" Do we have to be successful in life, brother
What I care more about is the emotion of the person who asks, which I feel that she carries the pressure that 'must be successful'
I replied to her "not necessary I mean success in the definition of normal people" but our lives need to be happy. We are born to live the way we like, not the way others like, but we have to answer ourselves first that life. What I like to be and try to build it without anyone's ruler to measure "
'life we like' for me, it may consist of failure because what we fail may be what we want to try. What we miss. It may be learning. People who disappoint us may be good memories in some aspects.
We can lose, we can miss and we have a life that we like. In the midst of those misses. It's not strange.
But one person can be strong in his own mind. It has to go through a fragile time at a young age. These days that people around you have an important role in helping him not be too deep from falling down.
We may be wrong to think that 'success makes life happy'. The opposite, life is longing, but success may be a severe suffering life.
Life that allows yourself to fail. It's a happy life.
If we live in a society that is not crazy, success, then we can like our lives with both ingredients. That is -- normal life.
While there is not quite a lot of ' space for failure ', we may have to create this space first. Allow ourselves to fail, disappoint, defeated, assemble it to be part of life without pushing away. Don't try to live life. Only doing whatever you Only only.
You can lose... embrace it
...
In terms of society, it's time to review things that we can help to be ' hungry for success '. What brings us to the point where we need to question the pressure of life. We should do. How to unfold the weight on their shoulders
Because it's the end, the society that focuses on success will not create ' successful ', but it will create a lot of ' patients ' from the pressure.
...
" Do we have to succeed in life
Should both succeed and fail because that's real life
The important thing is don't succeed and have a life that we don't like and don't forget that we can fail and still like your life.
When we don't allow anyone to define success and fail, we may see that the answer to this question is not ' must be successful ', but the answer is
We will be 'successful' according to whose definition.
Someone else or yourself
If it's your own definition, some failure can be part of a successful life.Translated

**Translated from Shu Qi's 2-minute speech**
Hello everyone, I’m Shu Qi, a supporter of animal welfare groups. Having been to zoos and aquaria, I saw animals pacing ceaselessly, a dolphin swimming in circles endlessly. According to my knowledge, such abnormal behaviour is how they attempt to oppress tremendous loneliness and depression in their captive life. Were I to lose freedom and to be caged eternally, I would be overwhelmed by despair and fear. These captive animals feel the same either. Zoos always fail in satisfying animals’ desires and needs, like sufficient space for free movements, right of deciding own meals or right of choosing own partners. Some animals are severely stressed when they are put in the same cage, so they may attack each other. Some try to flee or attack humans, meanwhile, many of them die young. Everything important for the marine animals is also deprived in the aquaria. Every day, dolphins and orcas move merely in space which is the size of a bathing tub. They lose social connections and are unable to communicate with their own communication methods. They cannot hunt by themselves; instead, they are stuffed by dead fishes. Many marine animals are forced to perform meaningless tricks which are, of course, not their authentic behaviours. Animals in zoos and aquaria spend every minute in the same tiny cage and tank but this is not life supposed to be like for all creatures. No one should support such imprisonment. I hope you all can bring animals back to their original habitats with real actions.

We tried molding the beautiful design of the Coca-Cola bottle with jelly, and making an actual size gummy Coca-Cola bottle out of it. Since it was our first try, and even though we tried to be calm, we were still a bit nervous and this may show in the video. We failed the first time as we poured the melted bottle-colored gummy liquid into the mold while it was still hot, so it stuck to the mold. We admit that we were hasty because we wanted to succeed badly. We calmed down and gave it another try. Check it out.
*Recipe*
Make the mold:
1. Melt 225g gelatin powder with 1500g hot water and let them chill.
2. Prepare a box that fits an entire Coca-Cola bottle.
3. Wash the empty cola bottle well, stuff it with plastic wrap, and screw on the cap. Turn it upside down and put it in the box prepared in step 2. (Since the bottom was not flat and unstable, we placed kitchen paper.)
4. Pour the chilled jelly mixture from step 1 into the box prepared in step 3.
5. Hold the bottle with your fingers in the center of the box while cooling it with ice water until it is fixed in place.
6. When the bottle is almost still, gently transfer it to the fridge and let it harden.
7. Take out the jelly.
8. Use a string to cut it down the middle. Use a knife for dents and kitchen paper.
9. Remove the bottle from the jelly.
10. Use scissors to cut off the bottle rim section of the jelly and the kitchen paper.
11. Put the jelly halves back together, and put them back in the box. Since the jelly is slippery, it is better to wrap it with parchment paper before putting it back in the box.
12. Plastic wrap the box tightly to contain it so it does not become loose, then let it chill in the fridge.
Make the delicious cola gummy:
13. Soak 60g gelatin powder in 250ml (262g) cola.
14. Put 40g caster sugar (granulated sugar) and 100g water in a saucepan, and boil them down to make the caramel.
15. Heat the mixture from step 13 in a 600w microwave oven for 1 minute to melt the gelatin powder.
16. Add the mixture from step 15 to the caramel from step 14. Be careful because it may splatter. If it does not melt, heat it again and keep mixing until it melts.
17. Mix it with 150g room temperature cola and let it cool.
18. Put the mixture you chilled in step 17 (about 38 degrees) into the mold you prepared in step 12. Leave 4.5cm empty at the top. (You can check with a straw since you cannot see inside.) Chill in the fridge.
19. Prepare gummy with the same color as the bottle.
Mix 10g gelatin powder with 70g hot water. If it does not melt, heat it in a 600w microwave oven for about 30 seconds to melt it.
20. Add a small amount of shaved ice syrup to color it. Let it cool.
21. Put the colored jelly mixture from step 20 (about 38 degrees) into the mold from step 18. Chill in the fridge.
22. Take out the cola gummy. It is easier to take it out if you wet your hands with water.
23. Done! It also tastes great!
We reused the jelly from our first failed attempt to make the mold. We melted it in a saucepan, and made the mold for our second attempt out of it. We are noew eating the mold itself bit by bit!

- The first night of our Odigo trip we had to sleep at Narita airport, which meant staying in their capsule hotel! https://www.odigo.travel/
Capsule hotels were originally meant to be used as super cheap accommodations, however in my (admittedly brief) attempt to search for them, I usually haven't found many cheaper than a regular business hotel. I know cheap capsule hotels are out there, I just don't know where...
This one at the Tokyo Narita airport is called 9 Hours (you can stay for more than nine hours) and is of course the price of a normal business hotel, I assume because it's at the airport. To be fair, everything was very clean and looked new, which is good enough for me. In some cases if you reserve early online you can get the room for 4,900 yen (which is what they advertise at), but walk-ins are 5,900 yen. A lot of reviews say it used to be 3,900 for a reservation, so I guess they raised their prices. It also looks like prices during holiday travel seasons (like Golden Week and Obon) are higher, at 6,900 yen for advance reserving, at least at the time of making this video.
The pods are all right next to each other so if you have quiet, considerate neighbors you should be fine to sleep, but if your neighbors are chatty or snore then you could be in for a rough night. One of my neighbors used their wave noise machine and it was so loud that I'm pretty sure everyone else had to listen to it, too. I had one instance on my side of some girls coming in really late and giggling and talking up and down the row of pods and taking pictures, but after that fortunately everyone was quiet and I wasn't woken up. Jun had some snorers on his side, though.
All in all I feel like capsule hotels are kind of a quintessential Japanese experience so I'm glad I was able to try one out. It kind of felt like I was living in the future. I don't know if I would choose to do it again over a normal hotel room, though? Maybe I'm just too introverted and prefer having my own personal bed and bathroom, especially if it's the same price. (Actually since it was 5900 each for me AND Jun, a normal hotel is way cheaper for the two of us). I enjoyed the experience, though. Would've been funner with a friend on my side!

I will keep learning more about Indian culture and values and will try to make something that will actually be worthy of laughs in the future.
Please believe that I truly respect your culture and I have no intention to offend any of you.
