หลังเกิดเหตุวัยรุ่นชายชาวผิวดำอายุ 19 ปี ที่ผลักคุณปู่ชาวไทยเสียชีวิตที่ซานฟรานฯ ล่าสุดมีกรณี ทำร้ายชายชาวจีนอายุ 91 ปี ในย่านไชน่าทาวของโอ๊คแลนด์ และกล้องวงจรปิดจับภาพตอนเกิดเหตุเอาไว้ได้ โดยคนร้ายจู่ๆก็พุ่งไปชนเขาจนล้มลง และไม่ใช่แค่นี้ ยังมีเหยื่ออีกหลายราย เป็นชายอายุ 60ปี และหญิงอายุ 55ปีที่ถูกทำร้ายเช่นกัน ตอนนี้ยังไม่ทราบว่าอาการของทั้งสามคนเป็นยังไงบ้าง แต่ที่น่าตกใจคือ ในช่วงครึ่งเดือนที่ผ่านมา มีคนเอเชียในละแวกนั้นถูกทำร้ายไม่น้อยกว่ายี่สิบรายแล้ว

Once, I was watching a movie about the passion of Christ. In one scene, as Jesus collapsed from the blows at the scourging post, I screamed in my heart, willing Him to stay down so that His tormentors would relent in their vicious assault on Him. But He did not stay down. With you and me on His mind, He clung on to the scourging post and dragged Himself up to receive the full measure of the beating. Beloved, if Jesus bore the price of our healing, then surely, by His stripes we are healed!
