因為我手邊能查到的文法書並沒有很明確的說明a kind of的用法，
以下是我個人參考文法書的例句和在網站稍微搜尋一下後的看法..
在文法書的例句中，A is a kind of B.(A是某種類型的B)這句型的例句裡，
B清一色都是單數名詞，亦即似乎在a kind of後面習慣用法是加單數名詞，
假設如此，後面的關代就不會有要跟a kind還是要跟B一致的問題，
反正都是單數，雖然我另外請教的老師是說要跟B一致，
這樣就跟題目的簽案有衝突了，不過只是這畢竟只是單一老師的說法，
我沒有看到能佐證的資料...
然後我又到網路上去搜尋a kind of的句子，雖然也有後面接複數名詞的，
但極為少數，絕大多數還是用單數名詞
再者，我用Uniforms are a kind of在雅虎上搜尋...
只搜尋到uniform is a kind of clothing meant for a team.
這個原po很巧妙的規避掉了clothes必為複數的問題，
改用clothing來迎合多數人a kind of後面習慣接單數的用法....
所以必為複數的名詞怎麼辦，例如scissors，
我就想到也用這種繞路轉個彎的辦法：A is a kind of tool like scissors..
或許這也是個可行的辦法...
綜上所述，我大膽推測，a kind of 大概後面習慣加單數名詞或不可數名詞，
如果結論真如我所推論的，那麼就不必擔心後面關代的主動詞一致的問題，
只是結果雖然一樣，我還是會想知道動詞到底是跟a kind還是跟單數或不可數的B一致~
但這已經不是我能所能解決的問題了@@
