這次來到突尼西亞是以台北市民交響樂團的成員來完成文化交流的演出，擔任中提琴手。很榮幸可以演奏各種名曲以及當地作曲家的作品，與當地的獨奏家合奏，異國的音階真是帶來非常不同的感受。更令人印象深刻的是與當地來自11個不同地區組合的青年合唱團合作，許多孩子們是第一次來到大城市，第一次聽到交響樂團，聽到他們努力學習唱「宜蘭童謠」，真是很感動。樂團加合唱團以及獨奏著一百多個人，來自不同的國家，不同的文化，卻因為音樂的熱情而聚集在同一個舞台上。
這麼有意義的音樂會真是個難忘的經驗。相信對所有參與的人都是!
音樂無國界，是最完美的語言。
This trip to Tunisia as a member of the viola section of the Taipei Civic Symphony is for a cultural exchange performance. It was a thrill to perform some great masterpieces and beautiful music written by local composers - the unfamiliar scales and intervals definitely make for a unique experience. Even more amazing was working with a teenage choir composed of 11 different music clubs across the country, where most of the kids are traveling to a big city for the first time in their lives, not to mention also seeing a live orchestra for the first time. Experiencing their joy and hearing them sing traditional Taiwanese folk tunes and local melodies was the highlight of the night.
With the choir and orchestra and soloists combined, there were well over 100 performers that night, from different continents, different cultures, and different backgrounds. Yet we were all brought together to the same stage by the same love for music. An unforgettable experience for all of us, for sure. What an honor.
