Only 15 days left until the opening ceremony of the Taipei 2017 Summer World University Games! On August 1, we introduced the USA women’s basketball team. Now we’ll introduce our USA team swimmers: the USA swim team was one of the stars of the 2015 World University Games, bringing home 34 medals, including 15 golds. Forty student-athletes will represent USA Team in the pool across 42 different events this summer. Go swimmers! Check back on August 5 to find out about a martial arts event that will “strike” your interest.

2017台北世界大學運動會即將在8月19日開幕。你最想觀賞哪些項目？我們在7月27日介紹了即將在世大運代表美國參加棒球項目的愛荷華鷹眼隊。今天要介紹的是另一項B開頭的運動 -- 籃球（Basketball），籃球項目在男子組和女子組都有比賽。你知道來自台灣、目前在美國自由大學打大學聯賽的的陳盈駿這次也會代表台灣出賽嗎？

美國男籃這次派出的是普渡大學鍋爐工隊（Boilermakers）。這次世大運男子籃球項目共有24隊參賽，預期將是世大運競爭最激烈的項目之一。普渡大學也是大十聯盟的成員之一，在贏得2017大十聯盟冠軍後，鍋爐工隊獲美國國際大學運動總會（US-IUSF）選為美國世大運男籃代表隊，在這次男籃項目中非常被看好。

On August 19 the Summer Universiade will start in Taipei. What sports do you plan on seeing during the games? On July 27, we introduced the Iowa Hawkeye baseball team that will represent USA Team in that sport. The other “B-Ball” sport -- “Basketball” -- has both a men’s and a women’s division. Did you know that Ray Chen, who is from Taiwan and will compete in the games, has been playing college basketball in the United States at Liberty University?

This year, the U.S men’s basketball team is being represented by Purdue University. They are known as the “Boilermakers.” With 24 different teams competing, men's basketball is expected to be one of the toughest competitions of the whole event. Purdue is part of the Big Ten Conference. Purdue won the 2017 Big Ten Championship and was selected by the US-IUSF.

Hopes are high for Purdue. We wish all teams good luck. Who do you think will win? Tell us in the comments.

「神射手」: sharpshooter
sharp是很準、很鋒利，有類似「快狠準」的感覺
shooter就是射擊手
所以sharpshooter合起來就是神射手，
很好理解吧！
