蘋果紅蘿蔔蓮子黃豆湯
要增強抵抗力,除了補肺氣,還要健脾。容易反覆感冒的人多屬肺脾氣虛,中醫理論中說過「內傷脾胃,百病由生」,假如脾胃運化失調,臟腑就會缺乏營養和氣血滋養而防禦疾病能力下降,這時候特別容易受外邪入侵,這也是為甚麼小孩子特別易有感冒的原因。由於孩子肺氣未足,而肺之氣源於脾,在兩者都虛弱的情況下,外邪容易入侵引致感冒。蘋果紅蘿蔔蓮子黃豆湯可以健脾,同時養心寧神,除了可以養好脾增加抵抗力外,更可以讓人睡得更好,是一家大細都適合的養生防感冒湯水!
材料:蘋果2個、紅蘿蔔2根、蓮子80克,黃豆30克,無花果3枚
做法:材料洗淨。蘋果去皮去芯、紅蘿蔔去皮切塊。鍋內加入2000mL水,加入所有材料,武火煮至水滾,改文火煮1小時, 調入適量鹽即可。
功效:健脾養心。舒緩睡不安寧、煩躁等症狀。

To improve immunity, aside from replenishing lung qi, the spleen needs to be strengthened too. Those who are prone to colds and flu usually have asthenic lung and spleen qi, and Chinese medicine states that if internally the spleen and stomach are hurt, it can be the source of ailments. When the transporting and transforming functions of the spleen and stomach are not optimal, the organs will lose immunity against diseases due to lack of nutrition and nourishment from qi and blood. This is the time when a person is more prone to external pathogens attack. This is also why kids get flu more often. Their lung qi is not fully developed, and the lung qi originate from the spleen, when both are weak and asthenic, it can easily lead to colds and flus. This apple and carrot soup with lotus seeds and soy means strengthens the spleen, calms and soothes the mind, and on top of increased immunity it can also help improve sleep quality. This si definitely a healthy soup that can prevent the flu and is suitable for the whole family!
Ingredients: 2 apples, 2 carrots, 80g lotus seeds, 30g soy beans, 3 figs
Preparation: Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel and core apple, and peel carrots and cut both into pieces. Combine ingredients with 2000ml of water in a pot, and place over high heat until the water boils. Switch to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt to taste.
Effects: Strengthen spleens and nourishes the heart. Alleviates poor sleep quality and irritability.

星期五湯水﹣南瓜蘋果淮山雙豆湯
又到星期五湯水的時間!對於女性來說,養血幾時都是最主要的養生目標,這個湯就最適合不過。湯中有紅棗、桂圓和紅豆,都能益氣養血,能舒緩思慮過多、怕冷,面色及嘴唇偏白等症狀。
材料:南瓜300克(約半斤)、蘋果2個、新鮮淮山1根、紅豆30克、黃豆40克、桂圓肉10枚、去核紅棗4-5枚、無花果2枚
做法:
1. 材料洗淨,淮山、南瓜、蘋果去皮切大件備用。
2. 鍋中加入2000毫升水,以武火煮滾,加入新鮮材料、紅豆、黃豆、桂圓、去核紅棗及無花果,轉文火煲約45分鐘即成,飲用前可加適量鹽調味。
功效:益氣養血。舒緩思慮過多、怕冷,面色及嘴唇偏白等症狀。
注意:感冒未清者、身體有偏熱症狀不宜飲用。

It’s time for our Friday soup series again! For ladies, nourishing blood is always an important part of healthy living, and this soup is a perfect choice! Ingredients for this soup include red dates, dried longan and red beans, all helps to replenish qi and nourish blood, and relieves symptoms of over-thinking, aversion to cold, pale complexion and lips.
Ingredients: pumpkin 300g (approx. half a catty), 2 apples, 1 fresh wild yam, red beans 30g, soy beans 40g, 10 dried longan, 4-5 seedless red dates, 2 figs
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly, peel wild yam, pumpkin and apples and cut into large pieces.
2. Add 2000ml of water into pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Add in all fresh ingredients, red beans, soy beans, dried longan, seedless red dates and fig, then turn to low heat and simmer for 45 minutes. Add salt to taste.
Effects: replenishes qi and nourishes blood. Relieves symptoms of over-thinking, aversion to cold, pale complexion and lips.
Note: Not recommended for those with a flu or have heat symptoms.

又到星期五湯水的時間!很多讀者反映想我分享一個既滋潤又清熱的湯水?這個蓮藕雪梨淮山綠豆湯就適合不過了!雪梨有潤燥的功效,加上有清熱功效的綠豆,可舒緩皮膚乾燥及咽喉乾涸的症狀,另外酒後感到不適時亦可飲用!
材料:蓮藕1節、雪梨2個、新鮮淮山1根、綠豆30克、栗子10枚、蜜棗2-3枚
功效:潤肺健脾、清熱涼血。舒緩酒後胃部不適、容易流鼻血等症狀。
做法:栗子汆燙後去皮去殼;材料洗淨,雪梨、淮山及蓮藕去皮切件備用。鍋中加入2000毫升水,以武火煮滾,加入材料,調文火煮45分鐘即成,飲用前可加適量鹽調味。
注意:脾胃虛弱者不宜多服。

A lot of readers asked me to suggest a soup that can clear heat and moisten so this Lotus Root and Pear Soup with Wild Yam and Mung Beans fits that perfectly! Pear is moistening, and mung beans can clear heat. This soup relieves symptoms of dry skin and throat, and it’s can also improve symptoms of a hangover!
Ingredients: 1 segment of lotus root, 2 pears, 1 fresh wild yam, mung beans 30g, 10 chestnuts, 2-3 candied dates
Effects: Moistens lungs and strengthens spleen, clears heat and cools blood. Relieves stomach discomfort after drinking and frequent nose bleeds.
Preparation: Boil chestnuts, then remove shell and skin. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly, then skin pear, wild yam and lotus and cut into pieces. Add 2000ml of water into pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Add in all ingredients, and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes. Add salt to taste.
Note:Not suitable for those with asthenic spleen and stomach.
