《口蹄疫區除名》
口蹄疫這個問題，挑戰在台豬農二、三十年。兩年前拜訪台灣毛豬產銷班聯誼會產銷總會長，也談到此事。
下面是短短在筆記本的零碎紀錄：
1. 口蹄疫什麼時候拔針? 他說應是本月(2018/10月），民國八十年代末的口蹄疫，對於豬農傷害巨大，希望之後台灣能過跨過非洲豬瘟這個挑戰，能夠提供更環保、更乾淨、更優質的豬肉市場。
2. 林總會長認為地方政府認證「嘉倍安心」，對於優質產業是有幫助的。定期檢驗、抽血，讓消費者吃得安心。
3. 豬的排泄物，現在宣導做沼渣，但是單一豬農很難去找需要的地方、運送的方式，林會長建議公所或者縣府扮演平台、輸送的角色，單一豬農很難有專業器具，若是使用者付費，將會是雙贏的方式。
在後面靜靜聆聽的，應該是會長媽媽，在會長家裡聊天非常舒服，真的只有在村莊才能看到三代、阿公阿嬤叔叔伯伯兄弟孫兒女們都同住一棟的大家庭，但是也必須深刻的認知，有這種條件的，還是需要有能盈利、永續的產業
當你用年的刻度去回顧，你會知道，沒有什麼事情是理所當然的。

"Delisting of Pork Foot and Mouth Disease Areas"
The problem of foot-and-mouth disease has been a challenge for Taiwanese pig farmers for over twenty years. Two years ago, I visited the president of the Taiwanese Pig Production and Marketing Class Association to discuss this serious issue.
The following is just a snippet of my notebook records from that time:
1. When will FMD be over? He said it should be over this month (2018/October). FMD in the late 1980s has caused great harm to pig farmers. Hopefully, Taiwan will be able to overcome the challenge of African swine fever and then afterwards have a more environmentally friendly, cleaner, and higher quality pork market.
2. President Lin believes that local government certification of "Care Relief" is helpful for having a high quality industry. Regular inspections and blood draws of pork will give consumers peace of mind.
3. Pig excrement is now advertised as biogas residue, but it is difficult for a single pig farmer to find the required place and delivery methods. President Lin suggested that the county government should play a platform role on the issue of transportation. It is difficult for a single pig farmer to have the necessary equipment. If users pay for these costs, it will be a win-win.
Listening quietly in the back was who I think is the president’s mother. It is very comfortable to chat at the president’s house. Only in the villages can you see three generations all living in the same big house. But you must also have a profound understanding, if you have this dire situation, you still need a profitable and sustainable industry.
When you look back on the scale of the year, you will know that nothing can be taken for granted.
